The following settings will allow you to see harvesting nodes and collectible nodes from a very very long range. Rendering performance impact is minimal.

Performance:
Rendering Distance: Max
Complex Shader Distance: Max

Particle Effects:
Particle Level of Detail Bias: Max

Lighting:
Max Bumpy Point Distance: Max
