Default EQ2 Maps Issues

I am having some issues with EQ2 Maps under DarqUI. I am playing the Steam version of EQ2.

Everything is a fresh install on Windows 10. I have the paid version of DarqUI, version 3.1.3.5.

EQ2 Map installs ok but when viewing maps for a zone outside of a city (for example Antonica) the map is nothing but yellow dots everywhere and the other issue is that it will not load maps for dungeons, it just says map unavailable.

I have a second install of EQ2 (non Steam), in a completely different directory on a different hard drive, for testing. Playing this install of EQ2 without DarqUI installed, EQ2 Maps works just fine, the maps have all the different icons showing and maps for dungeons load just fine.

I have uninstalled EQ2 Maps and reinstalled it a few times using DarqUI, no change.

Thanks

Check for updates and scroll down to Map. Click the gear icon and choose "Using EQ2MAP" and then click the Update files button. Restart the game and you should see your EQ2MAP icons. Please post again if you're still seeing only yellow dots.

Default EQ2 Maps Not Working

Hi There,

I'm also experiencing the same issue as the above players. I'm using the latest DarqUI for Origins Server, have completely removed the UI and re-installed, making sure to include EQ2 Maps in the fresh install. The minimap shows no yellow icons in the isle of refuge, and only displays quest turn in markers.

It should as I understand it display little yellow dots over the place to show where mobs spawn etc, but its not.

I have also tried via the DarqUI Unified tool, to remove and re-install the EQ2 Maps. Still no joy I've spent about 4 hours today trying to figure it out.

Edit: Deleted the entire EQ2 Install and trying again, will update if this solves it or not.
Update: Fully reinstalled, made sure to select origins as the profile, While it solved the EQ2 Map issues, the DarqUI profile itself doesn't load ANY of its elements, none of the custom buttons are present and its 100% vanilla, even with /loadui . I think I'll just give up at this point until someone who knows more jumps in

Default Points of Interest (POIs) on Anashti Sul are supplied separately from Live server POIs, and are very limited especially when compared to an EQ2MAP installation on a Live server. Also, player-submitted POIs for Anashti Sul are starting from the ground up, so you won't see dozens of POIs littered all over the maps like you are used to seeing on Live.

In the base game zones on Anashti Sul you should see maps with standard POI icons such as zone entrances, vendors, inns, etc., and a limited number of yellow POI dots much like what the map would have looked like in 2006 with or without EQ2MAP. Player-submitted POIs will begin to filter in over time. I recommend checking for EQ2MAP updates once per day.

For standard and premium DarqUI, this article will give you some instructions for a basic setup that should give you DarqUI and EQ2MAP on the Origins server. After installing EQ2MAP, DarqUI Premium players can go back to their DarqUI updates and scroll down to Map, choose "Using EQ2MAP" from the gear icon even if it's already checked, and download a map frame over EQ2MAP that has some extra custom controls.

Please post again if you are still not seeing DarqUI and EQ2MAP.
