Default new command /pizza

So what do you think about this? I think we should be able to pay for our pizza with in game money if we can use an in game command. They also need to add a feature /pizza <playername> so I can buy my online friends one.

No Rants or Insults are ever allowed on our forums please remember.

Ah, I would pay a platinum per pizza if they'd take virtual money. I like it, it's a funny little /-command gimmick and it wouldn't bug me if they add more. Heard lots of angry OOC chat in the commonlands because of it today though. ^_^

I'd be happier if it opened my default browser (Firefox) instead of opeing IE.

That and I'm not a big Pizza Hut fan. Lots of other chains out there that are better.

Other than that I think it's a great marketing idea.

there should be an in-game interface and nice EQ-only discounts. And pepperonis that are shaped like Antonia Bayle.

then of course, I'd rahter see them spend the effort on fixing broken quests!

The beauty of this feature is that I don't even have to stop neglecting the kids for the traditionally family time set aside for dinner. I can /pizza as the wife and I game, have her fill out a check real quick while I get another beer, and then send one of the rugrats to the door with said check when the doorbell rings.

This way, we're not distracted from our game and let the kids fight over the pizza, and can occasionally yell at one of them to bring us a piece of it along with another beer.

Thanks Sony! With the /pizza command, I have a fire-and-forget dinner that arrives at the push of a button, and I can play EQ2 until the beer buzz finally scores a crit. Also saves me time making the kids' beds in the morning as they usually fall asleep on the floor with the dogs.

Now if they would just add a /bedpan command, I'd never have to leave my chair!

All satire aside, it's actually a pretty slick idea. I don't know how often I'll use it, but if I had a dorm full of roomies that all played, I could certainly see it getting a workout.

any in-game advertising kind of urks me. but i have a weakness for their breadsticks, so i can deal.

all /pizza should do is bring up an in-game window, where you enter maybe your password (or some kind of identify thing), pick a pizza, and click ok. Sony already has your credit card number and address, make use of it! if they insist on having a special pizza hut thing they could at least make it as efficent/easy as possible. but thats just me, always trying to improve stuff i guess =P

and they could fix the html window instead of launching a browser.

Yes, it was in beta, and no it linked to a real pizza site - Domino's I think it was. It was put in as a joke - one of the Dev's used to joke all the time in broadcast - "Update on it's way, but no pie!", or "We have another patch, but this time there is pie!" So some wiseguy added it to the commands. Funny how it came back as a "feature."
