EQ2 Maps and Quest Journal

I have been using the Journal mod from http://eq2.fluffy.dk/ for a years. I also use EQ2 Maps. In a custon UI directory I have both, and in the default I have just the journal mod. If I load the custom UI with both installed, everytime I update a quest, the quest journal pops open. The problem doesn't occur in the Default where I have only the journal mod.

I would love some suggestions as to how I might get rid of the very annoying journal pop-ups. I'd even donate some station cash...
