Player v1.16 Mentor level not changing

I mentored myself to level 60 using the Chronomage. Camped and later went back in game. It still showed 60 like it should. Played a while and then /unmentor myself.

The mentor level stayed at 60, even after zoning. What's really weird is that I then camped (/camp char_name) to an alternate and it showed her level as 60 also even though she is a 43 Troubadour.

The levels are correct when hovering over portions of the window and the popup displays.
