UI window for AIM? even possible?

I know there are some restrictions with what you can do when making an addon, but I was wondering if there was some way to integrate AIM (AOL Instant Messanger) into eq2. It's just that it gets so annoying to minimize eq2 and tend to the AIM messages when I'm trying to quest. It'd be so much easier if i had individual windows for the conversations that functioned just like in-game tells. Is it even possible to create anything like this? Thanks.
