Tracking quick on and off?

Just wondering if this is possible or not but I have it that my tracking comes up with my - button but if I wan t to close it I need to go over and exit out of it just wondering if theres away to use the - button to open and close the tracking that way if im running or typing I dont need to cursor over to the exit on top of my tracking.
