The ESC key will exit the tracking window.

If you are in chat.. you wil hit ESC to get out of the chat window, then hit ESC again will close the tracking window.

If you are tracking something, IE you have the golden help trail..
The only way I have found to trun that off is by hitting the tracking button again, and then hitting ESC which I find annoying.

Tracking, running, and typing.. Isn't it fun.

I believe theres a slash command to cancel ability you could map to a macro. Not sure off the top of my head what the exact command is. /cancel_ability # maybe.
