Question skins and mods

I’d like to preface this by saying I do not know squat about skinning but I do know a little about XML and how some of the UI components fit together. Some of the words I’ll be using may not be the “correct” terminology but I’ll try and explain what I’m talking about.

What I was wondering is say I use bohoMOD but I also want to use Mook Broker Search. The broker search wouldn’t “fit” into the visual theme. I’m guessing that is due to the way that styles are defined.

Is it possible for “skinners” to make their skinning mods generic enough so that when various component mods are used they can all form to a specific visual theme? Not saying “Hey you people who like to skin do it this way.” but more asking if it is possible.

Default

It's possible I think for borders, and buttons, but some use custom .tga's and .dds's instead of editing the default ones, and putting them in a custom UI.
