Default Deleting Chat Window

I was playing just fine yesterday (4/5/2025). Today I load up eq2 and do the usual /loadui and pick DarqUI unified. However something new happened. It deleted my chat window entirely.

Well when I tried to use a slash command to bring up the ui selection window it semi-locks the game up. Can't use right click, can't type, but pressing buttons brings up different windows per usual, Alt-O by default the option windows etc, so I know commands are still working.

Well, then I tried to run the DarqUI Unified launcher to see if it needs to patch.

Code:

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
Well, I go to searching. I see the post about the appdata folder and deleting stuff and then going to EQ2 file directory and deleting stuff there. Then I also see that there's 2 new version of Darqui. Download that, log into my eq2 character, launch DarqUI, patch DarqUI, then load the UI on the character. Once again, running into the exact issue described at the start.

A good installation of DarqUI doesn't require you to use /loadui each time you start the game. The /loadui command is disruptive and should only be used rarely, for example to diagnose a problem with the UI.

Log completely out of the game, and then in the DarqUI utility on the Files page click the blue link for "Make this UI the default." If the link says "Stop using this UI as the default" then click it twice: once to clear the setting and then a second time to set DarqUI.

Log back in to the game and you should see DarqUI immediately without using a command. If you see the default UI, it may mean there is a file permission or read-write problem within your EverQuest II game folder or utility location.

In your exception text it shows the utility as running on the B: drive which is unusual. Are you using a VM or Microsoft OneDrive or other cloud sync service that may be affecting your game folder and/or your DarqUI utility?
