Default Can someone make this?

Hello,
I just started playing EQ2 so forgive me if I speak n00bish. After wandering around for hours in frustration trying to find where things are I came here and got some addons to try and help. I installed EQ2 maps and the Van
Gurk Map Icons to help me see where I was at better since being colorblind the red chevron was all but invisible to me.

The problem is though that finding the exact place I need to go for the quest I'm doing is still a hassle because now there are hundreds of icons to sift though and trying to figure out what someone has listed them under in the menu on the right is also a pain.

So what I was wondering is if there was a way to make something that when I click on a quest in my quest log that is in my zone and make it active it flashes the correct location that I need to travel to on my map and kill whatever, or talk to whoever, or pick up whatever, and maybe even sets a waypoint to it.

I have looked up locations online and they give co-ordinates and I installed a compass thing that tells me where I'm at, but since I can't really tell where on the map that is it's not very helpfull. Perhaps something that sets a waypoint based on map co-ordinates you type in would be helpfull too.

I don't know if it's possible but when i saw how the icons now flash for available quests I thought it would be really cool if they could lead you though the quest itself. If anyone here can or will make somerthing like this but it would sure be most appreciated.

Thanks.

In your chat window type /waypoint and the coordinants you saw online i.e., /waypoint 128,-13,234.12

This will mark the spot on the map and give you the glowing gold trail when you get close.

For quests that have SOE-provided POIs the regions or POI will highlight when you hover over the quest in your quest journal.

There is no way to replicate this for standard EQ2MAP POIs however; the best you can do is search within the map window and then when you click on a particular POI that matches your search it will blink a little bit in the main map window to show you where it is.

I don't need to replace the EQ2 POIs, I just was hoping someone could make them blink in order of when they need to be comleted. It's clear they can blink, why not make them blink in order of completion to give you step by step directions? I believe all you would need is to have a numbered list of the quest POIs that are allready in EQ2Map and something to reference them in order.

They guy who posted above said you can use the /waypoint command to set a waypoint to a co-ordinate. How hard would it be to just have a button you click on to set your waypoint to the next destination of the questline? I don't know how to make this kinda stuff in .xml, but it seems pretty simple to me.

It's not feasible. While one could theoretically construct a set of ordered POIs per quest and somehow mash that into the map system the amount of work it would require for each quest is orders of magnitude beyond what it is for folks to submit POIs now. Given the fact SOE makes their own POIs and ROIs for many quests (and basically all new quests) its not something anyone would do.

For quests that do not have SOE POIs, its trivial to just follow a site like EQ2i or ZAM and paste the /waypoints in.

The POIs are allready there in EQ2Map. All you need to do is sort them out into
groups for each quest. Hell just that alone would make it a million times more efficient.

Then add a single button to the map that sets a waypoint to the selected POI in the list
that pops up when you press the find button. You know the one on the right of the map?
Right now they are all grouped under Bell, Location, Mob, and so on. Well just change the
groups so that there is one called Quests and sub gruops for each individual quest that
have each POI needed to complete that quest.

How about doing it that way?
