Any UI works with any resolution, just position the windows as you see fit.

This is true, but not ideal. What would be nice would be if someone made a complete UI for the 1440x900 resolution. Moving the parts of a UI designed for a 4:3 screen to fit on a widescreen monitor (1440x900 isn't exactly 16:9) is like a "Pan & Scan" movie. Yeah, you can watch it, but it's not how it was intended to be seen.

I do one myself, but while I've got fair technical skills, there's little artistic talent.

That's where re-sizing icons and window boarders comes into play. If you feel the hotbars could have smaller icons and be more compact then simply do so from within the game. Same holds true for most windows. IE: set your chat font size the resize the chat window boarders accordingly.

Other than that, if you find that a particular window is too large but doesn't happen to offer the in-game options then there's a good chance that it's already been shrunk down and posted in the Downloads section. If not, there's a board set aside specifically for individual window requests where someone is bound to come along and shrink a given window for you.

I use a mixture of various individual pieces with FetishClassic as a foundation. After spending about an hour with my display I was able to get a very good setup for my 1440x900 display. With the exception of a few windows nearly everything works perfectly at that resolution.

ProfitUI comes preconfigures for 1440x960 as well as 9 other resolutions. I don't mind adding new resolutions too much since all I really have to do is resize two windows, everything else is set to place itself correctly anyway. Of course users could just resize those two windows themselves...

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.
