Default this isnt working!!

iv installed EXACTLY as it says here >:::HOWTO INSTALL:

You have downloaded the manual install version of the EQ2MAP project. This
means you will have to install this like any custom interface. You will not
receive automatic updates to the points of interest added so you'll also want
to periodically re-download and install to have updated icons.

1. Download the eq2map.zip from eq2interface.com.

2. Make a new folder with any name BUT with no spaces or special charaters (example: myui)
in the UI folder that is inside your Everquest II directory.

3. Unzip the eq2map.zip into the myui folder you made in step two preserving its directory
structure.

4. If you are going to use other interface peices just unzip all of them into the same folder.

5. Go back to your Everquest II directory and create a new file and put the following code inside
of it: (if you already have a eq2.ini file open it in the editor and replace the code with this)

cl_ui_skinname myui
cl_ui_subdir UI/

6. Save the file as eq2.ini (make sure you dont save it as eq2.txt or eq2.ini.txt)

7. Load up Everquest II and your EQ2MAP interface should be working.

\\\\ Well it doesnt work..all the other mods or tweaks or whatever works but not this one i must have coordinates for the game! i need it so much please help me if possible..thx

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

Default Worked for me

I just finished downloading and installing the manual version. It is working fine for me. Some things I would check :

* Make sure the new custome interface folder (I named mine customui), is located in the '...\Everquest II\UI' folder (NOT the Everquest II folder).

* I would recommend using all lowercase for your name, no numbers, no spaces, no special characters.

* Be sure to maintain the directory structure and files that are in the .zip when copying to the new UI\customui folder.

* When creating (or editing) your EQ2.ini file, be sure the two lines are to the farthest left. Be sure that the first line has the name of your new folder, with the exact same case. Do NOT modify the second line.

Good Luck
