Hadden's Earring Request/Suggestion

Hmm, bout says it all. I wish that the spell involved was either;
a) applicable without equipping the earring or
b) made into a spell that can be hotbarred and used.

The problem is that the earring, while useful "forever after", needs to be equipped to have the benefit applied. One opens bag, equips earring, USES earring and finally unequips earring and puts bag away.

Best you can do is make a macro that eqpts it and one that eqpts your primary item. Other wise you are stuck doing it the way you talked about.

• Use the in-game macro system. 1st step is to equip the earring in the Left or Right Ear slot.
  
  
• Make the 2nd step a command step for the Left Ear Slot:
  /use_equipped_item 11
  
  Or for the Right ear slot:
  /use_equipped_item 12
  
  
• Make the 3rd step equip your normal earring back in the same slot.

This allows you to equip your Fishbone Earring, click it's effect on, and equip your normal earring in one step. Works as long as you are not in combat.

the above post will work for anything that has an instant casting time to it such as the fishbone earring. however if there is a casting time on the use function of the item (such as earring of the solsctice) it will require two seperate macros, one to equip and cast, the second to re-equip the origional piece. This is because the cast time would be inturrupted by the re-equipping.

Also you MUST use the command line /use_equipped_item_##

the "use item" function of the in-game macro creator will not work for this type of macro.
