Confirmed, it's a server issue, I messaged Kaldran about it, I'm sure he'll fix it soon if he is available.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

I switched off port 443 today as I need it for other projects (and I am too lazy to transfer it to another machine :P ).
Actually the updater shouldn't access that address anymore since I switched over to webstart several months ago. I forced all updaters to use the new address back then, but if you didn't use it for a while your installation may have missed that.
Please use "Reset all settings" in the "Settings" menu once the updaters' main window is visible. It will reset all settings to default and make it use the new address.

I browsed the code to find a way to automatically update the settings, but unfortunately it is not possible. Good thing is, I found a bug perchance which makes the updater asking for write permission more often than it should.

Switched it off again and added some dirtyHacks() to the updater. Will work okay now :P
FAQs have to be updated actually....

Versions older than WebStart versions won't work anymore though...

Actually I run the updater every time I push an update live, so last time I ran it was 20 December 2008, but it was still using port 443. Thanks for fixing it.
