Default Looking for a UI that gives refined macro commands

I would like to cancel a maintained spell, but the /cancel_maintained {index#} is not user friendly at all. One of my attack spells I cast has an index of 8 the first time casted but will have an index of 14 or some other number when I cast I again.

Is there a custom UI that refines this command allowing users to type the name of the item instead an index number?

I understand the issue for having macros to be too smart, but I think this an innocent request. If this is not possible, then possibly a command that clears out all active, in-combat, attack spells while in-combat.

I would like to be able to cancel all my Damage Over Time attacks before I cast a mez or fear spell.

This sort of looks like something for the Request forum... but I should be able to make something that does that pretty easily. By tonight, probably. You'll have to edit the XML with the names of the spells you want canceled however. It'll be controlled by a single / command.

I suppose I take back what I said. When you explained it earlier, I figured you meant the index changed because the icons shift around. But it seems you meant that the cancel_maintained array index was not synced with the maintained window at all. Since the command is not synced with the interface, while I can find the name in the interface and use the icon index, I cannot come up with the mysterious index number that the command uses.

I tried to add a cancel button to the maintained window once by keeping an internal database correlating the index with spell name and target, but in the end gave up for various reasons. There is probably a lengthy post from me on that somewhere. I forgot how I got the index number for the command, I think it was increased with each cast but don't remember sure.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

In dealing with the old inventory arrays before the Use Item VDL command, I figure I generally know how it works. I suppose that zoning will reorder the array for this as well... which depending on how you look at it is a blessing or detriment.
