Quests

Description

First and foremost, this is NOT a resurrection of my old quest journal mod with all the info files. Quest walk-thrus and other info are now part of the Info Center, and don't need to be duplicated here.

This is just a simple horizontal quest journal. In fact, it's basically the one created by "sstair," which I'd been using for a while until LU23 broke it. But he hasn't updated it yet, and I got tired of waiting.

All I've really done, though, is update the mod for LU23 and 24, and integrate the "splitter" definition into the eq2ui_journals_quest.xml file, so a custom eq2ui_commonelements.xml file is no longer needed.

Been trying to add the "Share" button to it, but it just crashes the game. Tried replacing the Hide button with the Share button, same deal. *Sigh*

I got really tired back in the fall of trying to keep up with changes to default windows, and so basically swore off modding them any more.

In case you haven't already seen it, though, I *did* pull all of the various reference files from my older mods into a single new "Milquetowst Info Center" that the devs won't be messing with behind my back.

Obsolete?

When u post this mod is OBSOLETE u mean you wont be updating it anymore?

I have been using this for a loooong time, truth is I dont think I will be able to stand another journal mod

I just installed it today and went to look at all of the heritage quests. I got to #22 and then could not go back past 12 , the button seems to have deactivated and cannot be clicked... any ideas ?

The scroll problems and quests vanishing problems are SOE bugs and exist in the default UI as well.

can this be updated as my quest are disappearing to get them back and keep this i have to log out then once i group or get another quest have to do it again to see it else it disappears plese fix this...

quests temporarlily vanishing until relogin

since the patch I'll be playing and then like 60-70% of my quests will vanish from the journal and then they will come back when I log back in, is this a known bug? is anyone even alive on this forum anymore?

Nope, was working fine until Tuesday or Wednesday and then it 'broke'. I could scroll horizontally to the last HQ, but could not go back any further than #9. I also kept getting the journal full error listing 55 quests and could see none of them. I had to go to the default UI to do anything with the journal. I also had problems with the vendor window (don't think that was yours, though) where I could not sell or repair and fixed that as well by going back to the default UI.

You may be right that the your journal isn't broken, but, something sure borked it up.

This journal 'broke' with one of hte last two or three patchs. I can't scroll back beyond HQ9 and I am getting errors saying too many quests (55) and other real weird things. I had to revert to default UI to fix everything.
