Did GU56 break it?

I'm at work and hoping against hope, GU56 didn't break ProfitUI. It's been so long since I came to the forums. I didn't even know gm9 wasn't the programmer. I've just been using the auto-updater and everything has worked.

So if anyone know what's broken and if there is a fix yet. Please let me know. I'm worried. I don't know what I would do if I had to use default!

the only issue I see at the moment is a blank screen in storyline tab but that may be because I'm not on a quest that has it.

I cant use the bells, I cant start a toon in any cities but Kelethin or freeport. I have reinstalled map updater and it didn't change anything. windows 7 sux I cant get into the folder with eq2 in it. I think i am going bananas

From the sounds of that you have a very outdated Profit or arent using Profit at all. There is no newcharsel2 window in Profit and the map system runs by default.

I have been using profit just fine until today, I cannot see Frostfang on the map when I use a travel globe/bell/etc

The updater says my files are all up to date so I don't know whats wrong.

Was working fine on test though.... Maybe I'll just copy over those files.

I'm using the Profit Reborn Updater and logged in today and cant travel and its not showing halas....my updater says that i'm up-to-date on the patches can anyone help?

Storylines tab made functional and new travel screen made resizable with these two files.

Ok since you are using Profit lets give this a shot. Go to your Program Files/Sony/Everquest 2/UI/Profit folder and see if you have eq2_popup.xml and eq2ui_newcharscene2.xml files in there. For the Halas fix delete eq2ui_newcharscene2.xml as that would not be a file Profit uses

Next in eq2_popup.xml (again not standard with the current version of Profit) edit it and add the following line before </Page>:

<include>eq2ui_popup_travelmap.xml</include>

Save the file and restart the game.

I dont have any of those files in my UI folder, except for eq2ui_popup_add_poi.xml and eq2ui_popup_setprice.xml as for the eq2ui_newcharscene2.xml i dont see it in there anywhere

ok i downloaded the files that silat posted and placed them in my Profit folder in the eq2 directory and now i get a map when i use a bell/carpet but cant go any further b/c there is nothing on the map but just the outlines of all the land masses and thats it, the buttons at the bottom are outlined but i can see the background behind the map window thru them...that is better then before when i wasnt even getting a map....

Only idea I have is that you missed some of the update today. Specifically the map images. I have it on mine and it is working perfectly. All I changed was the 2 files I uploaded.

I'm missing the Shader 3.0 checkbox in my Performance options as well as the render mount checkbox in the Animations options.

Removed and reinstalled Profit. Did not fix the problem. Anyone got any ideas what might be causing this?

Partial Solution:

I had to delete my eq2_recent.ini file.

Another possible solution is to manually add the following lines to your eq2_recent.ini file:

r_usethreepointoshaders true
suspend_mount_mode 0

Any integer between 0-3 should work.

Those should be controlled by the game client, not the UI. If they aren't there, it should only be because your game client isn't updated to support them. Are you in the EU region? Sometimes it lags behind the US by a day or two when it comes to updates. I can confirm that I saw both checkboxes in the performance options section last night, and I'm running current ProfitUI off the updater so it's probably not Profit keeping the checkboxes from showing up.
