targeting window

Let me try and explain this as best I can...

When I assist someone it only shows me mob i am killing how do i get another window to show me who the mob is actually hitting?

If you target the mob it will show you the mob's target in the implied target window.

Unless the mob is hitting you, of course.

Haha, that's right, but it's usually easy to figure out whether the mob is hitting you or not.

Just to make sure: Another "unless" is when the mob is hitting someone outside of your group/raid.
