Default Spell Alert

Hi and thank you for your time.

I'm fairly new to everquest 2 and was wondering if there was a mod out there that would let you know when and what a mob/player is casting.

Something like bigwigs mod from World of Warcraft.

Appreciate any feedback.

It's written down in your chat window.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

I've always preferred to watch my teammates and work with the visual clues the game offers.

Having never used the chat info I'm curious if it prints from the beginning of the cast or once the cast is complete. In other words, "Bob Begins Casting Spirit of the Wolf" or "Bob Casts Spirit of the Wolf"?

Depends on the type of spell, for spirit of the wolf for example you get both the cast and when it lands:

Quote:
XXX calls the spirit of the wolf.
YYY begins to move faster!
And no, I don't read that in realtime either, what you do is run a parser like ACT to have it in a more digestible form.

I've never been much of a numbers cruncher so I have yet to try ACT. Is it worth at least looking at and if so is it rather difficult to get running properly and remove if need be?

It's easy to install and get running, but a bit more difficult to master. If you're not into number crunching there's probably not much point to it though.
