[DrumsUI] Full Interface
Game Update #55 Compatible - Sentinel's Fate
Description:
After several years of EQ2 UI modding, individual releases, and user requests, the DrumsUI is finally released as a full UI download. The DrumsUI's purpose is to add features to the standard interface windows while also saving screen space and eliminating unnecessary extras. This UI started out as personal modifications and has slowly evolved into user requested ideas as well as features combined with existing ideas.
The DrumsUI includes several settings (Cure Button window, Stat bar Window, group and raid checkboxes) that are set up to be customizable from in-game and save both between sessions and different characters. When you first use the DrumsUI pieces, the default settings will be selected.
*Note: Included are some slightly edited map icons (originally created by gurkoz) and the skinnable map POI file. Feel free to remove the files from the "images" folder, "images/icons" folder and the "eq2map2/_Skinnable_POI_Icons.xml" file to return to default.
- Note: The InfoCenter is fully compatible with the DrumsUI. However, it is not included in this zip!
Installation Notes:
- How To: Install A Custom UI
- eq2.ini goes in your EverQuest 2 Installation folder.
- DrumsUI folder goes in your EverQuest 2/UI/ folder.
UNINSTALL YOUR OLD VERSION FIRST!
But save your /POI/drumsui_textsettings.xml to backup your Quick Button settings!
It's not likely to cause issues, but some files have changed and some have been removed!
Extra Notes:
- See the "Alternatives" folder in the DrumsUI folder to access some window variations. (eg. Tiny Group, Group with pet bars, Right-sided maintained, bottom-aligned voice chat, etc.)
- Copy and rename any of the below to use a supplied layout:
* DrumsUI_1280x1024_layout.xml
* DrumsUI_1440x900_layout.xml
* DrumsUI_1680x1050_layout.xml
To: serverName_characterName_eq2_uisettings.xml (ie: Blackburrow_Drumstixx_eq2_uisettings.xml)
Remember that the supplied UIsettings file won't have all your chat settings configured, so be sure to re-configure your options!

- New: Group/Raid Settings windows have a few more options to choose from including:- Show tooltips on Quick Cast/Cure buttons
- Display cure button placeholders (transparent icons)
- Use smart curing (only casts when a debuff counter is found) [This used to be default to always on, now it's a choice]
- The new options will save between sessions, and per-character like the other options do.
- Update: The T9 potions "Focused 'x' Remedy" are now included in the default Potion options for the player window. (thanks to foozlesprite and TalTal)

Thank you for your support and kind words
It may be possible to modify the "darkened out" overlay on hotkeys by modifying the appropriate graphic file, but I'm not too sure off hand if it's possible. I'll look into it, but not sure how I'd go about making it an option easily.

This UI outstanding. All of the utility of Profit and its not butt ugly. I have used your raid and group window for some time with the raze autoattack bar because the look of Profit made me ill. The only thing I could possibly even ask about is the darkness of the spells on the hotbar when they dark out to show reuse timers, makes them a bit hard to see. Is there anyway to remove this particular feature from the code in any way?
Why has SoE not offered a UI like this as an alternative to the default UI for serious players? Some things I may never understand. Its amazing however and I will pray always for your happiness.

Any way I can get rid of these click2cure edit buttons as I will never use them and it makes it quite difficult to target group members. I've tried adjusting the window in every way possible to see if there is a way to expand the clickable area of each group member but to no avail. Thanks for your help. Love the complete UI. Thanks for all of your hard work. It's made my gameplay so much more enjoyable.

Glad you're enjoying the UI. Next update should see the buttons being totally hide-able by those that don't want them there.
Do take note that you're not limited to the HP bars to click on for targeting. The space where the F1-F6 is clickable, as well as the names of the group members, and the right portion of the HP bars not covered up. Hope that helps for now until there is an update

Check this topic (3rd post down):
http://www.eq2interface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=13831
You have to click edit next to each of the Potion options in the Settings popup window for the player window. You'll then need to update the use_itemvdl command to use the new pots!
Cheers.

Into your main EverQuest II folder. The same place you would find your eq2.ini file

Anyway, one thing I sorely miss from Profit is the expanded login screen. I almost always start EQ2 from EverQuest2.exe to make switching accounts easy, and Profit made this super quick by including a character and server name box when doing this. DrumsUI just has the user/pass info, which means you have to always go into character select to log someone in.
Not a big deal at all just a time saver for me. I've tried previously to bring over Profit's screen to other UIs but have just never been able to get it to work right.
Keep up the great work!

Sweet, thank you for the feedback. I've been getting some good ideas for new features, and I'll surely look into this. I'm one who also swaps between characters a bit, so I can relate.

For some reason, and I've had this problem before, i keep getting weird wraparounds on the hotbars. For instance one will have one button below the other buttons. I create a new hotbar and it has 4 buttons below.
I am running at 1600 x 1200. Thanks if you have any ideas.

I'll check this out. It "should" allow shift drags, but I'll see what's going on.

For some reason the dynamic data for Writ timers isn't working. The one in the journal is hard coded and doesn't use the dynamic data. I can try a specific fix for this full UI, but it wouldn't work for the individual tradeskill window download.
