Sticky EQ Situations!

Yea I found myself in a rough spot. I was a level 8 mage, eager to be a sorcerer. Too eager I guess, the final exam consists of dueling with an actual sorcerer. If you beat him, you're in. So I walk in, extremely confident, and take this dude on. Next thing you know, he throws a ton of magical force at me and I die. Alright, so I work off the debt (couldnt get my spirit cos it was in the room with him) and I go at it again. This time, Im level 9 and ready to kick some sorcerer tail. This time I would get him right? Wrong. Died again. So thats 2 spirit shards down. I ran back into begger's court and bought a set of brand new armor. I had new spells, new armor and a new found confidence. Went back, went toe to toe.... DIED AGAIN! Yes, three times. I managed to kill him the third time but he summons 2 ratonga's that eventually beat me up before I could unleash a lightning spell. Yup, so 3 spirit shards in that room with him, a huge amount of debt to work off... i got a long night ahead of me!

wow, that sucks.

Summoners just have to create a earth elemental and kill it.

I cant wait to start as sorc for live.

remember that the test is for all of your abilities. I did the sorc. test on the evil side. and I found that I had to use all my spells to win the encounter, not just the ones that i used to group or XP.

goodluck, they are all a bit tough.

I found the evil enchanter one to be quite easy at level 9. It was also very fun! I had to go into an instanced zone (a bar filled with hoodlums) and convince a very tough troll to beat up 2 of his companions on the other side of the bar. Then I watched them fight, the troll won, and then I had to kill a green con that spawned. It was easy...

Wish i was picked for the beta, ya'll are making my anxiety sky rocket~
Im a 70 ranger time keyed and kt flagged, im bored out of my mind on EQ. Any of you know what the fighter challenges are? Cuz the caster one's have sparked my attention from these few threads.

Freeport Fighter --> Crusader was a joke.. went in with the freebie gear i got thru the hallmark quest what whatnot.. long as you understand the "heroic events" (how they work/trigger) you'll win
