What to delete? (char select had no text)

Hello, hoping someone can help me out, I have randomly modded files/windows in the UI and now, after the eof patch, when I go to character select I dont see anything but my character. No names, no 'create character', no list of other characters or zones, no text whatsoever.

I assume this is because I have a modded UI file I must delete, does anyone know which file goes with the character select screen?



Or maybe my problem is I need to add something to the mainhud.xml file. Anyone know what?

The char select will only be one of your problems, hehe.

Just either delete eq2.ini OR rename it so that you go back to the default inteface, until the bits you use are updated.

I figured it out, needed to add charselectscene2 to one of my files. Dont remember if it was mainhud or the other eq2 file. Everything works now except the bags, and I dont want to delete the file because the regular bags are so HUGE.

This should be stickied for others to see as I was another one who had to figure this out for myself and needless to say it wasn't pretty, as I'm not all that trained on such things.

Essentially, the Character Select / Character Creation screens have been changed. If you are running any custom mod that includes an eq2ui.xml file then more than likely you will need to make a manual change.

If you have an eq2ui.xml file inside your Custom UI folder then change the following line:

<include>eq2ui_newcharscene.xml</include>

to

<include>eq2ui_newcharscene2.xml</include>

That's it.
