Default Using the map?

Okay - I feel about as dumb as a box of rocks - I can Not get the map to show when I am ingame.

I downloaded it and it seemed to load fine. When I click "m" in game I get the normal EQ2 map - Not the New one from here.

What am I doing wrong? Where should I have put it after I loaded it - a new folder (I did read the UI interface notes - is this the same for a map?)

See - I warned you - bubble head here....

Thanks in advance!

Go into the Options of the EQ2Map updater and make sure you have the correct path to your EQ2 directory in place. Then down below a bit, you should see a couple drop-down boxes, of which the top one is where you select the folder for the custom UI you are using.

If these two things are done, you should be able to see the maps you are looking for.

Thanks Laz - can you tell me exactly WHERE I should have created this folder or where I should have put it. Can I just move it or should I delete it now and re-download?

I open EQMap and I do not have an option area.

Sorry to be such a pain - but I think I have done something wrong here and now I am confusing myself more and more

Thank you again SO much!

It sounds like you downloaded the manual version, which I would highly recommend removing and installing the auto-update version instead. The auto-update version will do all the work for you. Otherwise, you will need to place the manual version inside your UI directory, create an eq2.ini file pointing to that directory. The instructions on how to do all that should be included in the manual version zip file. Or just read THIS for a detailed step by step.
