Default names and duration of effects

Is there a way to mod the effects window (similar to those appearing for maintained) that allows the effects window to show the names and remaining duration of buffs?

I've had a go myself, but it doesn't look like the effects data is in the eq2ui_gamedata.xml so I'm out of ideas before I start

You would be correct, SOE dosn't give us dynamic data for the effect window so there is no way to do what you want as of yet.
