I know how to get it to open but how do I get it to close with lose of pet and re-open on summoning?

It should open/close automatically when your first pet is summoned/all pets are dead.

Note: SOE's code does not distiguish between a real pet, temp pet or fake pets (like your god pet or familiar). The pet window will stay open if your main pet dies but a fake pet is alive.

It's not even appearing for me on summons unless I locate it with your handy tool. Maybe I've got some code off?

Alt P to open it if it's being finnicky =)

If you're having to relocate (move the window) via the Locator, be sure to manually move it afterwards, otherwise its new position probably wont be saved to your settings file.

Another thing to try is using the Locator to retrieve the window, then right-click it and use window settings to set it to default location.
