Default Turning off chat while zoning?

I've been having a lot of longer load times lately that I never had before, and my guildies suggested that I turn off chat while zoning.

Does ProfitUI come with a setting to disable this? I'm willing to try anything to reduce the zone times =P Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure the standard flow of text can be toggled on or off.

I believe what your guildies are referring to is an addon that allows you to be able to chat while you are zoning. I'm not sure what the file name is that allows this, but you would need to delete the file.

Yea that's it. I'm not sure what the file is either, or whether it can even be removed from Profit.

eq2ui_hud_zoning.xml

Shouldn't be any side effects of deleting it from the ProfitUI directory.

I'm not sure why you would do that though. You know all those windows are still there, right? The default zoning screen just covers them up, but chat still is available while zoning. There's an instant when chat does get lost but it's pretty short.

Are you thinking the burden of rendering the UI is slowing your CPU enough to slow your zoning? I'm pretty sure zoning speed is mostly related to your memory, disk speed and connection speed.

See I don't know what the problem is, it was just suggested to me that maybe this was a problem with zone times.

I'm playing on my laptop since my computer crashed but it is by no means a bad comp for this game.

Care to share what the cause of your problem turned out to be? Was it truly the chat while zoning mod? Or was it something else?
