Anyone able to get Nyarlathotep to work with EoF?

Howdy All,

It looks like the Nyarlathotep UI has finally been totally broken. The character select screen won't even display correctly.

Is there anyone out there that is able to modify Nyarlathotep's UI to at least get into the game? I tried deleting files that seemed logical, but nothing seemed to work.

When you get to the character select screen are you looking at one of your characters standing backwards?

If I remember correctly, char select was completely changed, at least in the name of the file or something like that.

Haven't seen him in game for a loooong time so maybe he quit playing wich means probably his UI won't get updated but I may be wrong.

At the character select screen, my character is facing away from me.

I figured Nyarlathotep wasn't supporting his UI any longer, but I was hoping someone would pick it up and make a NyarlathotepII or something.

With past LiveUpdates, I would just replace the component that was broken and keep going. But now, I can't even get in the game, and I couldn't seem to fix it just by removing files.

*Prays for a UI author to take Nyarlathotep's over*

Essentially, the Character Select / Character Creation screens have been changed. If you are running any custom mod that includes an eq2ui.xml file then more than likely you will need to make a manual change.

If you have an eq2ui.xml file inside your Custom UI folder then change the following line:

<include>eq2ui_newcharscene.xml</include>

to

<include>eq2ui_newcharscene2.xml</include>

Thanks Florida, that fixed the login screen.

After logging in, I noticed that a lot of components are broken as well.

The first things I noticed are:
-Bags
-Target window
-Hotkeys

I guess I can see if there is a general fix for them, else at worst case I hope I can just remove them.

that is due to the use of the new iconbanks. the target windows are easy to fix... just delete all the volumearea stuff, and replace it with the new iconbank code (see the UI changes thread for file comparisons).

as for hotkeys and bags... i would try to pick up one of the newly published pieces instead.
