Default Lord Tonmerk Tomb

I hope I did this right.
the file didn't attach so i'm linking it here
eq2log_Papah.txt
location:
Entrance to the Sepulcher of Jhanda with access quest In search of the Sepulcher of Jahanda

Comments on the named crypt robbers and steps to entering the tomb here

There are a couple of odd things about this map that made mapping it difficult.
- crypts have names on them. each are in the screen shots provided to insure you have correct spelling.
  • Here lies our beloved Tonmerk
  • Here lies Roesager Thusten
  • Here lies Niclaus Ressinn
  • Here lies Lord Mrallon
  • Here lies Miltiades Tal'Azroth
  • Here lier Nomsoe Jusagta (typo is in the game)

- 2 statues. one you can get around, the other you can't, leaving a gap in my first line around the room.

- 2 lines of crypts along the walls. when mapping the room, i jumped up on the crypts so the first line would follow the line of the room. I then made two other lines indicating the outside edge of the crypts.

I have screen shots available to show the room and its points of interest, as well as the spawns there including a named crypt robber (Rustum the Vile and Ronicus the Red).

all the screenshots are zipped into a file you can grab from my server linked below

LEVEL 1 (for basic contributors)

1. Delete or rename your log if you have one. This way we dont get your toon life's log
its found in c:\program files\sony\everquest\logs\*servername*\ directory
2. Make a hotkey that says "/loc"
3. Make a hotkey taht says "/em start new map line"
4. turn ON logging
5. while pressing the /loc key like crazy, run around the edge of the zone.
6. turn OFF logging
7. press ALT+TAB and go to this folder C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\cache\ioplan
8. write down the last modified filename. This tells us the internal zone name.
I know it doesnt ask this in game if you havent patched in the last 24hrs.

edit: btw nice job on the mapping... looks very good. There are a few other zones with this same layout already on the site and I could have just copied it over but yours is much more acurate.

done with the map... just need the internal zone name and I'll push it live.

btw. This map works great for Sepulcher of Jhanda so I updated that map with this one since the old map didnt fit too well.

I like doing maps and things when i feel well enough. are there other locations you would like to have a better map of? I just retired from a very long career making games so this is near and dear to my heart.

Hmmm, thats the same internal name as for Sepulcher of Jhanda. Are they the same zone and its just a really long name? I know they have the same layout but normally if they have different mobs it will be a different zone name.

If they are 2 different zones I'm not sure how to split them up on the webpage since the database goes by the internal zone name.

The map should have showed up for you btw since its the same zone name.

It is the same. That’s why in my initial post I said

Ok, I’m being a horrible smartass. I can't help it. Its early and the servers are down. <grumbles under breath> first time in months I’ve had 4 hours to play while the other half is away and the friggin servers are down....<sobs>

There wasn’t a map when i made the post but there is now so its a moot point. Its my own fault. I wasn't clear enough in my intent. Oh well, my next map will be better. I promise.

The poi's are way off on the map though. I’ll submit the UID's for those along with the corrections today. Had hoped to see papah on a map. Gads, I'm groping for small trophies lately. I spent the whole afternoon yesterday just clearing off the unexplored areas on my antonica map. is that obsessive?

I think I need professional help

Iorek / Papah

btw: Thanks for the TON of work you have done on this project. I can't imagine how many hours you have dedicated to this and I wanted you to know that I appreciate it as an end user. This website requires a lot of upkeep. the maps require scads of maintenance. the plug-in itself is a world unto itself. it makes my head swim. You are a god sir. <genuflects> My hat off to you.
