Default How do I hide/remove POIs on the map?

I just downloaded the updated version of EQ2Map that covers the new map system.

I read the descriptions and instructions on how to use it and all that, but despite clicking on the little Plus sign in the filter, the PoIs themselves do not disappear.

At least in the old version, you could turn them off. That was much easier.

Moors of Ykesha looks like a pimple-faced teenager. I can't even see the map itself. Please help.

Default Hiding poi's

not shure about the plus sighn, i believe on mine that just closes the map, but in the uper right corner where that option is and where window options and a few others are located is another option to hide icon's, its more of a dot though. also you can turn all icons on or off but you cant togle individule icons at this time, its one or the other. This sugestin has been made but from what i here the eq2 team must make some changes themselves before they can make that change to the map.
Hope this has helped you, if not try posting on the eq2 map forums in the trouble shooting section, if you havent already.

Default

Yeah I found that button that turns everything off, but it also turns off the map name and the default icons.

I just want those to show, and cycle through icons as I see needed.

I guess I'll have to delete this version and somehow get it back to how it was until such a fix can be made.
