had a weird issue with the tutorial yesterday as well. made a new lil alt and started to enter the Far Journey and all i got was black screen behind the chat windows etc. could hear the ocean in the background but not see anything or move. had to camp and delete the toon and start over skipping tutorial

I AM COMPLETELY OVERHAULING THIS MOD FOR THE RECENT UI DESIGN CHANGES. GIVE ME SOME TIME TO FINISH IT ALL.

As you know, the OCD theme is not its own design. It is simply a slimlined version of the SOE design. The motto behind this mod has always been to keep as much of the original EQ2 interface, while adding functionality. give me time.

ok,

I downloaded the 10/8/05 update and when I logged in the mods to the start button didn't load. The start button itself is there but none of the features that the mod provides are there.

I'm using your complete UI with the EQ2MAP project and nothing else. It worked fine in the most recent version and after LU14, it only disappeared after I installed the LU14 compliant version of the UI.

When I installed it I erased the UI folder I install it in so there is no chance of a lingering file from a previous version of the UI.

I did try downloading and installing the start button mod from the interface pieces section and overwriting it but that didn't work either.

Also, one thing I noticed when I downloaded the file:

Hey,

I was poking around the eq2ui_mainhud.xml file and saw this line:

<include>eq2ui_mainhud_startmenu.xml</include>

That file doesn't exist in folder or .ZIP file.
I don't know if it's supposed to be in the folder or not but with the problem I'm having I thought I'd mention it.

Startmenu has NOTHING to do with Startbutton, it should not be in the ZIP file. If your Startbutton is not working, try the fixes posted MANY MANY MANY times before.

I for some reason am having the same issues with my UI now... Seems to be missing features and such...

I do love the UI and hope that it gets corrected.

As well, you CANNOT use any other MainHUD.Inventory mod with my Startbutton. It features its own MainHUD.Inventory page; having another will conflict.

Hi, first i love your UI its great

got the same issue with the start button and the alt + dont worked but copied the mainhud form the old update and it works again

But 1 thing i cant get fixed, and well have no clue why its so allways when i log in first time my custom preferences from my options are changed and have no clue why
you have maybe anyclue why ?

Its not ALT + , its ALT ~ (tilda) which brings it up. Works fine, although the size of the window ( when minimized ) does show the top parts of the icons in that window. I believe the window is too large when minimized.

I know its Alt ~ was a typo

but still dont worked till i copied the older version

oh looks like its only change the complex shader distance in my settings allways when i log in to max wonder why !?!

THanks, Alt ~ worked fine, altho like you said, it seems to show the top portion of the buttons normally not seen unless maximized, but I don't mind as I am able to use my rings and switch to night vision without maximizing it now LOL

I tried this before posting and it did not work, I forgot to note that in my post.

Found the problem to lie in the eq2ui_mainhud_startbutton.xml, copied just that one file from the previous version of the UI and it works fine.

Don't know where in there the problem is in the file, nor do i really care with how easily our issue was dismissed.

For people having the same issue with the start button mod not working after the 10/08/2005 "fix" that don't have access to a previous version of the UI you can download the file here: eq2ui_mainhud_startbutton.xml

Ok, got the file on a different, more reliable server so it should work fine now.
Also, to those that PM'd me, I have replied to everyone I've received as of updating this.

Im too using an old version of the mod. After some update the changed startbutton never showed up again despite all my efforts which included all the here mentioned tips & tricks. Im scanning from time to time this thread hoping that someone would find the problem, but so far nothing.

i know now why my first try with Alt ~ not worked its couse i not using the us keyboard version just use shift+ alt to switch to us keyboard (if you not using it) and then use the alt ~ command and it works the you can switch back to your normal keyboard with shift + alt again

if i get rid from that odd changing of my option preferences on first log in i would be happy

Hey Jaxel -

You know this is my fave mod. I had taken out some of your mods when LU14 came out since I feared not compatible. I updated with your updates and I have a lingering question since I spot mod. The set_currency window - is that included in one of your existing mods? I have the default set currency window as it's not user friendly and I was using one before (not sure if your mod or default) that has the button closer together and in reverse order. Maybe I missed putting back in one of mods so pls let me know.

Hey Maria... no, I have no custom set_currency window. The ones you see are the default. You know you can always contact me cross server in game.

As for the lotto window, make sure you have the new MainHUD.xml and Inventory.xml files as lots of files were added to these.

I have a Swiss keyboard, so I tried to figure out, where that ="ç&%-tilda might be on the original. I finally found, that for me the ¨-key works. And that ist the upper one of the two keys left of Return. So, try this key for the UK-Keyboard... you might just get lucky.
