Noob Help

I am new to EQ2, was told to get quest helper from here, but cant figure out how to do it... I get random XLM document when i DL calains program. Do i need prfit UI with it or not also? Im totally confused... figured it would be like WoW quest helper and just added to addon folder or something. Im a total eq2 noob if someone can help.

Not to put too fine a point to it but the following is in really big letters at the top of the description on Calain's Questhelper download page:

like what? what is the best quest helper mod? Is there one that shows like a blinking dot where i need to go? like the WoW quest helper?
