Default new install of profitui and not working.

If this is somewhere that I haven't found yet, please tell me where to look. I have searched and searched.

I just installed new everything, Java 7, eq2, eq2maps, profitui. everything. and when I launch through the launchpad, profitui, eq2maps the game just uses the default UI. ALL the files point to the correct location.

Is it something that I need to uninstall java 7 and install java 6 instead.???

help very frustrated ..

Sounds like the same thing mine does occasionally. I have to add profit ui to the eq2_recent.ini file to get it to load any ui correctly. You can edit the file with note pad. Change it so that it reads as such

Code:
cl_version_recent 18
cl_username <your account username>
cl_namespace STATION
cl_autoplay_world
cl_autoplay_world_second
epilepsy_warning_seen true
cl_ui_skinname ProfitUI --- This is what you want this line to read.
cl_show_voice_tutorial false
eu_merge_seen true
cl_picked_configuration true
Hope this helps

Do you two have an eq2.ini in your EQ2 folder? Profit should have installed one with the ui in it..

Here is the contents of my eq2.ini.

cl_ui_subdir UI/
cl_ui_skinname ProfitUI

# Below you find some additional options that cannot be set via the ingame menu.
# Just add or remove a "#" in front of the setting which you want to activate/deactivate

# Enable Anti-Aliasing support (enable here, then set via your graphics card driver)
#r_aa_blit 1

# Allow the possibility to have chat channels in more than one tab/window
#chat_allowduplicatechannels 0

#To force EQ2 to listen to your custom cl_screenwidth and cl_screenheight parameters
#cl_validate_resolution false

#EQ2 automatically reduces texture quality if your system's memory is used up, resulting in washed out icons and character graphics, for example. With this command you can disable that behaviour. Would be better to just get more memory though, it's cheap these days.
#disable_auto_low_mem_mode 1

# Disable the intro movie
#cl_movie_enabled 0

# Force the options window to open in advanced mode
cl_options_advanced 1

Yes, I have always had the eq2.ini file, and it was pointing to the profitUI, and when you ran the updater it looked like it was updating but just wasn't actually loading the UI when you started the game.

Looked at the recent.ini file and saw the dafault skin label and not profit skin. Changed it like Maozem said and restarted the game and it started. with all my presets and all.
