Default depechenode's Advanced Pet window

I like the idea of having my pet pull for me. I can use my pet to pull mob within range of
my spells, then tell pet to start tanking mob while I nuke, etc.

What my mod does is, adds a button that you can press that will reactivate the
pet's built in protection for itself and you as the master after you tell the
pet to back off and let the mob follow it back to your range. Press this button,
and the pet not only re-engages the mob, but it turns BACK on all it's
protection features.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--Known issues:
You CAN NOT DRAG and DROP this new button to a HOTBAR window. It is NOT an ICON, it is a BUTTON
and dragging to hotbar will result with nada. Therefore, the button MUST be used directly from
the PET Command bank WITHIN the pet window itself.

--WorK around:
You can create a simple macro if you wish to have HOTBAR control in the same manner as the
pet window feature I am providing with this mod. The macro is as follows:

: ; pet backoff ; pet preserve_master ; pet preserve_self ; pet attack

Thanks to danedori for this macro BTW
Special thanks to JAXEL from whom I "lifted" the gauge/name grahpics from.

--Installation:
Simply place the .xml into your /custommod directory
Place the dn_bg1.dds, into your /custommod/images dirtectory. (If you are using ANY of my other mods,
this file is OK to overwrite, as I use this background in ALL of my mods)
Finally, restart EQ2 and enjoy

Comments and suggestions always welcomed!!

Default still nothing

I think it hasn't been updated yet... I still have the same problem.
If your not busy can you email me at [email protected]

I was also curious that if you could put a small button (like a dot) that you can keep the buttons open. I like the hiding buttons but sometimes when I'm in a hurry I fumble with the buttons. Just if you have time

Default New version Uploaded with requested AutoHide Toggle

Version 2.0 is uploaded. Make sure you place the dn_bg1.dds file in YOUR drive:\everqeust2\ui\CUSTOMMODNAME\IMAGES directory or you WILL have a WHITE background. A white background is showing that the image it is requesting is NOT found. If MUST be in the images directory that is located off of your CUSTOM UI directory.

ADDED:

Checkbox in upper right area where the pet name is.
Checking this will diable the autohide feature of the command bank.
Unchecking, Enables the autohide feature.

FIXED:
Background image should be working. New file .zip hopefully will overwrite correctly. I think the last update actually took my old .zip instead of the new. Not sure. BUT, the background does work on all four of my machines.

What is needed by the users of this mod:
If anyone else is experiencing this background issue, please post here. PLEASE, download version 2.0 and then try the mod before posting ill results.

Thanks to all who use my mods.

Default cool

thanks for the button.. works awsome.
Still having trouble with the background. I attached what it is doing. I'm not sure why it's doing that. I have the .dds image in fetish/images folder.

Default works

works like a charm. Got background and widgets now. Very nice mod and I think it's about the best pet window I've seen for eq2

I was just about to make a mod to my current pet window that would do just what you created. Thx so much for saving me the trouble. Great job. One thing I'd like to request though. The border and background are not adjustable via the window settings. I wanted to make the border and background transparent so it blended w/ my interface better. Could you make it so they conform to the window properties dialog or make a version w/ a clear background and no border?

Default If your autohide button is white.....

If you are experiencing a WHITE autohide button rather than the what my screenshot shows, the following will explain why:

The button is actually the default SOE button from /default/images/widgets.dds

So, Yes..if you are using a custom file, your image will appear white due to where I am "locating" the image. The image is located within the widgets.dds by the command in the .xml : SourceRect = 64,227,78,242 This tells the xml where to "find" the image in the .dds If your .dds does not match this location, ie: a blank spot was that locations spot, then you will have a white button. Sorry. What I CAN do, is copy the SOE default style and name it a dnwidgets.dds then reupload the file. Once that happens, you just copy the dnwidgets.dds into the images folder and then no matter what other custom windows you are suing, my buttons will work.

But, overall, the widgets.dds is the cuprit. You must be using a custom .dds named the exact same thing.

I for one, frown upon modders using custom .dds files and naming them the SAME NAME as the defualt file name for this very reason.

Default Version 3.0

Uploading new version of this mod. I am also adding my own named widgets.dds file to avoid any conflicts with other modders that choose to use the default file name as their own custom file that has been altered by them.

Default Version 4.0

Inspired by Timb's "fluff" only pet mod, I have added another toggle feature to my pet window. Now you can toggle the command bank between "Fluff" pets and normal pets!

Same problem here, no pet health or power.

Is there any way you can increase the size of the new attack button? It becomes tedious pressing that little button. I use 1680x1050 which may effect the size of the pet window.

Awesome mod. I've gone back to the default UI because I'm tired of fighting with it after every LU. Maps and your pet window are the only mods I use now.

I will look into the health bars not being displayed. Not sure why this is, as long as you place the .dds files into your custom/images directory, they should be appearing.

As far as the new attack button, I will see about rearranging the window a bit. I play at 1600x1200 and I agree, the buttons/window are a bit small for that reso.

Hi Dep. just wanted to say that your pet window is awsome, i very much enjoy it. Im gona bring up a sugestion though, it seems to me that the buton you added wroks the same as the normal attack buton (with the adedd affect of re enabling the defense butons of course). basicly you can do away with the other attack buton since you can use yours to initiate the attack also, not realy a need for two attack butons, have you thought about removing it and enlarging or stretching yours to make it a bit bigger.
ONce agian awsome job relay like it, gona go check out some of your other stuff. keep up the good work.

Thanks for the suggestion! Yes, the buttons are basically the same, but the other attack will not change the protect settings for the pet. ie: you ask the pet to back off, that turns off two protection modes. If you continue to use the orig. attack button, the two protection buttons will turn back on. Sometimes, you do not want the pet to return to full all out protection, agro control etc. when in a grp. Therefore, I left the orig. button and it function there. The new button offers the option of turning back on all protection controls regardless.

I have reworked my pet window to include the newer /pet melee and /pet ranged buttons. The option of fluff pet is gone as well as SOE has taken the pet control out for fluff pets. (deity pet control).

Also I have totally revamped all my target/player/pet/group windows to compact sizes. This may not help the request of a larger attack button, but I can mod the original pet as per your requests, or feel free to mod it as you wish. (just retain credit as to the author is all I ask )

I am including a screen shot of my modded pet window and other windows that fit in my new scheme. My sceme I am using is based off the modded raid window by: thorvang and ger.
