Question Notice of tells/guildchat/groupchat etc

Does anyone make a mod that will make noise when you receive a tell or when folks are talking in group or guild chat? Sometimes, especially since I solo a lot, my eyes are not on the chat box and I miss things. At one time in WoW, I had a mod that did just that. I miss it.

Thanks!

To replace a sound, add a wave file with the sound name in the sounds subdirectory.

Cool

Hmm, currently the Sony_EverQuestII_UI_Default_sounds folder only has one sound in it, button.wav. Where are all the other sounds kept?

In the Paks folder are a bunch of .vpk files I'm pretty much (educatedly) guessing are the default sound files, such as SndUI.vpk, Snd.....vpk, etc. It appears that like when the game looks for custom .xml files for the UI in the custom UI folder, it loads these first and then anything missing is loaded from default. Using this reasoning, it appears they have set it up so that it looks for custom sound files in the custom UI folder > sounds first, and then anything missing comes from the default .vpk file. I read somewhere that the reason the 'sample' button.wav file is in there is to test it in game to see if you have the correct UI loaded (given that custom sounds in the custom UI folder are related to that specific custom UI). According to Mirk (one of the Coders for SoE), you can test the sounds you put in your sounds folder by typing /playsound [name].
