Default In Game Submission form

Last night I tried in the in-game submission dialog that's launched with one of the icons in the top-right of the map window and submitted something. Looking online today I don't see it.

In the past I think I just used the website.

Anyway, I just wonder if the in-game one is supposed to work or not. The one I put in would be under Mysstie.

Sorry if this was answered before. Until I know it's supposed to work, I'll just use the website.

Thanks,
Mysstie

It is not so easy to submit from in game, but you can fill in the in-game form and you get a URL to paste in your external browser.
You can use the internal browser to, but as the drop-down menus don't work you can't select icon types. And you have to login every time you open the browser window.
There is ways around this to, select icon type in ingame form before submitting and keep the window open to avoid logout.

As it turns out, using the in-game dialog, it added my entry in the C:\...\EverQuest II\UI\DrumsUI\POI\custom_poi.xml file.

Code:
    <Page Name="exp18_rgn_svarni_expanse">
        <Icon Name="a Kyv Watcher" PathFindLocation="-665.36 109.15 46.49" PoiDescription="Kyv Watchers in area" PoiResource="mobsolo" PoiShowAlways="true" PoiType="MOBSOLO" Tooltip="a Kyv Watcher" />
    </Page>
So, yeah I can now see it locally in my game but it didn't actually submit it anywhere. Perhaps that is what the in-game dialog is actually meant for?

Ohhh.. mine looks quite a bit different.

My guess would be that I have an older install then.

Edit: Well.. looks like I have version 1.3.1 of the Updater installed which is the latest version.

Is there some additional file I need to update or tweak?

Clicking the version button, all the version numbers say 1.3.1.

I got it working. Turns out I had an old version of the eq2ui_popup_add_poi.xml file. It was listed in the eq2map_ignorelist.xml file and as such wasn't getting updated.

I think at some point with the DrumsUI interface it needed to be added in there or for some other reason it was.

I was just able to add a POI with this dialog.

Thanks again for your work.
