I don't want them going along with each other (unless selected to do so) basically.

I liked having 2 seperate XP meters up. Don't dig the sword graphic for XP, so I like keeping AA or Trade on Bar and Adv XP on Numbers. If I could just get that file back, I'd block it from being updated.

I just downloaded and installed eXtremeUI, but my interface doesn't look like the screenshots at all...just looks like the normal Default UI, but with windows moved around so I can't read much....any ideas?

You should already have it. Look in your eXtreme folder under legacy_windows

When you run the AUCP and it is don't updating it should say eXtreme isn't set to you default ui and ask if you want to set it to it. Click OK then when the settings window open click on default and then save. The you need to pick a char you will be playing with eXtreme and then a uisettings.ini file and click save.

I do that, but it doesn't do much...it sets the windows to where they look like they should approximately be, but it's still the default UI. It also tells me eXtreme isn't set to default UI every time I run AUCP, even though I always hit OK, select my character, resolution, and hit save.

1)in raid window (at max size or any size)
you can only see 5 people in group 4 the window won't resize large enoughto se the 6th
2) templar pet when you click the attack icon it makes you target the hammer so it attacks nothing. have to manually type /pet attack
3) exp window sometimes the aa exp says up when you switch views ( to like crafting) making it hard to see true value. have to keep clicking till it fixes itself

1)on the load screen when you zone it says guild logo , is there a way to put your guild logo there?

Well, I got it to work somehow (no idea how I managed it)...but in groups, I get spammed with messages like "Could not find spell book entry for Cure Noxious" and "Could not find spell book entry for Greater Restoration"...I play a necromancer, I don't have any useful cures or buffs to give people. How do I turn that off?

1. The raid window isn't modified so your using the default raid window.

For the guild logo;

Look in UI\eXtreme\user_settings\images for the image to edit. There is also a template image you can use to make one.

I know about this, what it is, is you clicking on the cure buttons that are not visible. I'll have that fixed in the next day or two.

I'm having troubles during the install process of the UI...I have used it in the past and love it...

what happens during the install...it does it's downloading thing and it gets about half way through it and I get an error for different dll files that something can't be found in them...I uninstall then try again it finally gets to the end and I click finish and it crashes.....have never had this much problem in the past

This I'm trying to do with a fresh clean install of XP Pro and EQ2 with all the expansions...

My system config is...

AMD Athlon 64 3000+
Asus A8N-SLi Motherboard nForce 4 Chipset
Integrated Realtek 7.1 Sur Sound
Asus Xtreme N6600 PCI-Express 256MB has the Nvidia 6600 GForce Chipset
1 GB PC 3200 RAM
80 GB Maxtor Hard Drive
Running Norton Internet Security and Nvidia Internet Manager (firewall)

Hopefully a solution can be found cause IMHO EQ2's interface bites since I've gotten used to eXtreme UI

Heya....

Well just an update...after about 1 and a half hours of trying to install the UI...It finally broke through it's barrier for the downloading part then I was having troubles with the loader.exe crashing while it was updating AUCP...but I kept after it and the barrier finally broke too it's now loaded and and working great....just can't figure out why I was having those install problems...As I said in the previous post...I've never had problems before....usually just clicked through everything and within 10 to 15 min it was done...

Guess Murphies Law may have had a hand in the mix...LOL

zypherwolf, Sorry you had so much trouble installing eXtreme but glad it finaly works.

I don't know why it said it couldn't find a dll half way though, unless it took so long to download that it unloaded it from the temp directory( just a guess no clue if thats what happend ).

I do need to go in and look at the net code because if for some reason it does time out I've noticed it hangs for some reason. It should retry the file but seems it don't llike to follow that code path lol.

I downloaded the updates files for the info center and when I updated the UI again, it overwrote 55 files and foreign filed 99 files. Is there any way, since the files aren't being updated with the UI, for me to keep the new files without having to exclude 150 files? Thanks

Didn't see he updated it. I'll get that done tomorrow. But no being that it is integrated into the UI you will have to exclude all files in the infocenter directory.

The only thing that has changes from the last time I updated it is

060715 - UPDATE - Added walk-thrus for "Blood of the Brood" (a.k.a. Hoo'loh's Hat Quest) and for the "Peacock" and "Claymore" quest series.

I have it installed and working fine on XP 64. I didn't do anything different then my old 32bit system.

I tried to instal extremeUI today but Spybot recognized some malicious files in your install. Something called PornMag is this an issue or just something that looks like a malicious file?

Update: it was Zlob which is a trojan adware/malware installer. Are you using Zlob as part of your auto updater/Install program?

Don't mean to be a pain, but the info center is still not showing some of the quests correctly. Blood of the Brood and the Claymoore series are not showing in the correct window. I have tried deleting all related files and have redownloaded them through the update. The .txt files are there as are the .xml files, but they don't show up ingame. Thanks.

Landiin I think i found the problem for hte reason you can not submit a bug report. You cant type in the summery box. the default allows you to type there and ExtremeUI does not.

I thought I had already addressed this issue. Delete the file that are being reported as FOREIGN. The help window is NOT part of the UI.

I have no clue what NSIS uses in their code. As for the AUCP no it does not use Zlob or any of his products. Make sure you DAT files are all updated. There has only been 2 people that has reported something like this and its because they use free or none updated scanners. This site constantly scans the files. The Host site constantly scans the files, and I scan them with McAfee and AGV before I update any of the files and Myself, this site, the Host site and the other 100+ users of eXtremeUI do not get a HIT.

I'll look at it, but all it is, is a dump of the files the auther puts out.

When I tried to install it on 64x.....
