Yes had the same problem with 4.2 when i was in the group yesterday but didn't got the time to report it then.
So that problem is it fixed in 4.5?


Edit: And yes please, do not remove either the stop Food/Drink buttons or the emote buttons in the chat windows, they are allready got a nice spot and i really like the features

As you see it looks like you have forgotted the F1 in the red spot again :P

And what about having the group smaller than the player hud? for the first it may then be easier to see the diffrent between your self and the group, but thats not the real reason I'am asking for it, it because right now if the group is full i need to remove my compass but if you won't change then i think i can learn to live with it, its such a great UI this anyway so

I haven't been keeping track of which zones it happens in (even though I kinda doubt it's a zone-specific bug), but I have been noticing that sometimes the map mod that allows you to change maps doesn't work like it should. What I mean is the bar on the bottom with the dropdown menus shows up when moused over, yet the dropdown menus don't open up.

This, of course, isn't a top priority issue. But would like to see it fixed

A bug i just found, the meter of the power and the % of the power is not doing anything, moving or what i should call it...

Edit: I meant the group power, not my on, thats working

To add to Toxic, my meters are working fine, but group members power meters do not react at all. The numbers are working fine, but the blue bar and percentage do not change.

Yep, known issue and one of the reasons I have "Buggy - not recomended" next to it in the installer.
It usually happens when you first open the map. You can usually get around it by closing and then re-opening the map.
I didn't make this one, I had players who wanted it so I added it at their request.
It actually will mess up POI's as well...

At this time, I don't have any plans on looking in to fixing this as it's quite advanced and would take alot of time.
And time is something I don't have much of since starting the whole UI thing.

I hear ya and agree
I'll probably expand the startbutton out a bit for these extra buttons...
May take a bit though just to warn you.
Still have some bugs that need resolving and I need to play the game some too.

Some other mods do, but I haven't had the time currently to look into doing this with mine.
Been working on just getting it updated with all the new content Sony added.
I'll be looking at a vertical version later though.

hehe, i actually said fooy on manually placing F1-F6 and having to maintin the code for it.
I'm pulling the icons directly for each character that is used on the map.
Hence no F1 and only an arrow.
I tried making a black F1 to go over it but Sony doesn't have a font that can be used that's small and clear enough to look good so I just left it at that.

I'm going to decide to leave the size alone for right now and work on looking into the group data updates.
Afterwards I really need to play for a bit then I'll start looking into the UI some more. (It gives me a rest and allows others time to try it and post suggestions).

I'm looking into the power meter/bars but as for the percentages, I have indeed confirmed Sony is not currently sending the HealthPercent data at this time.
As soon as they start sending that data again, the percentages will begin to work again.

Lightbulb Group power meters and percentages

OK, just posted v4.6 which resolves the power meter/bar not updating issue.
(I had to go back to the pre LU12 data to get this to work as it doesn't appear as if the "Power" data is working with the meter.)

I will post an update that again uses the new data once they resolve the issue on their side...

The percentages aren't going to work until Sony starts sending the data
(They were supposed to be sending this since LU12)

Its nice that you fix this problems so fast, i really like it, keep it that way
And i hope that it will not take to long before SOE do something so that they beging to send the data of the power thing.

You are doing a great job on updating this UI Faetyl, so keep the good work up


Edit: And now that you said what the arrow was for i understand it, in the first it diden't make sense to me thats why i said it, so sorry about that, it is a great idea that of using the icons from the map
And also the size on the player and group boxes isn't bothering me any more found a new way of placing stuff now

Question though, on your personal hud info, in the concentration area, there are white spots that appear sometimes. What are these, or what do they reference? Will see if I can get a screenie later.

They are the dynamic data for player effects that mobs place on you.
Same ones that you see on group members.
The icons aren't showing due to a Sony glitch but hopefully they should fix it soon.

Heya Faetyl, I love the latest updates, I just have 2 minor remarks:
(Just installed the latest version)

1) The map anywhere function doesn't work at all for me, not even after i close and re-open the map.

2) Is it possible to make the XP bars slightly smaller, say 85%-90% in size?

again, great UI keep it up bro!

If you do make the xp bar smaller, please make it a option. I like the size where it is right now.

Also my windows are unlocked but when I examine something, I cannot move that examine window from the top left corner. Probably could if I could get window settings to pop up when I right click but I have tried and when the window settings tab pops up, I go to click on it and it disappears. That is only one I am having problem with.

XP Bar Smaller:
If I do modify it I will ensure it's an optional option
Good news is with my installer it is deffinately an option, only issue is that the options on the install may grow on the custom install quite a bit.
If most don't have an issue with loads of options I'm all for adding it in.

Examine WIndow:
I goofed with an earlier install and it included a modified examine window by mistake. (I resolved this with the latest version)
But you may want to double check and make sure that the ThorUI directory doesn't have an examine.xml file.
If there is one delete it.
If there isn't one, I would assume this is a Sony issue as they did change the examine window recently. (This is only an assumtion as I'm at work and can't verify right now, but i'll certainly look closer when I can)

This UI is amazing bud, Keep up the great work!

I have one little problem though, im not sure if it was adressed.
My raid window cannot be resized as the Window Setting option does not come up when right clicked. So basically its the 4 raid windows (turning them on and off works fine) and a bunch of black space underneath. Any solutions?

I just reinstalled my game and reinstalled the Ui and nothing will initialize, am I just dense and missing something? Please advise

This one sounds like an issue to address in MS or Yahoo messenger.
Does the game launch without the ThorUI?
If it doesn't we would need to figure that one out first.
I prefer Microsoft messenger but am available on yahoo messenger as well.

Edit:
Issue was that the UISwitcher wouldn't initialize.
This was resolved by updating the Microsoft .NET framework.

I also am having issues w/ the raid window as I am on raid atm and it is very bright.. But having same issue as above person.

Pss... I checked your xml's and there is no examine.xml

Looks like I need to work on the window options on the raid window...
I'll try and get this going soon.

As for resizing, you can go to your in game options and choose "user interface" then "game windows" then scroll down and you should see "Unlock".
If you click on that, it will unlock all windows "including the raid window" allowing you to move and resize it.
Since the window options is goofed you don't have the optiong to see the frame or background but you should be able to find the edge by moving your mouse around a bit.

Are you by chance someone that raids alot, cause I need someone to be my "tester" for the raid window if possible.

Default Examine Window

It appears as if something odd is going on with the examine window and window settings. I'm testing this currently and will post my findings here in this post.

Edit:
Ok, I hate to say it once again hehe but looks like Sony has an issue with their Examine Window.
I removed my UI completely and logged in and sure enough I couldn't get any window settings on the examine window...

I'd recommend trying the same trick that I recommended with the raid window for now, "In Game Options>User Interface>Window Settings>Unlock"
That "should" allow you to move any window.

I wish I could help on this one but it doesn't look UI related.

FYI, one way to verify if an issue is with a UI is to rename the EQ2.ini file in your EverQuest II directory to 11EQ2.ini or something.
Login and check, then to go back to using the UI just rename the file back to EQ2.ini

going into settings and unlocking doesn't work as I have not locked windows back from last night when we spoke. Anyways ..... nothing I won't give up on as I still love it. I also cannot get window settings on my inventory window either.

*edit* ok not inventory window, is late.. will look and let you know.

how do you move the time window? when i click on it, it just shows stats or something.

Same here. Hehe. It's a bit annoying and gets in the way of my combat. Other than that, this mod rocks. I just DLed it and am using it. What exactly is the night vision toggle, though?

You must have your display setting set to at least balanced or above for it to work.
Basically it just toggles your graphic settings so you can see at night.

Default ThorUI [Hotfixes] v4.8.6

Starting this post to hold hotfixes to issues that are reported.
I had enough little issues with the last update that I believe warrants it.
Please don't hesitate to post issues as it only assist me in resolving issues I may have overlooked, therefore making the UI better for all.

Simply "save as" then browse to your EverQuest II\UI\ThorUI directory overwriting the original files there.

Note: I'm working on all the optional groupmember and player windows. I will release a newer version of the patcher that will include the rest of the files.

Original Raid Window:
Resolves no vertical option

Groupmembers (Full-TopFillDown) (Slim-TopFillDown) (Slim-LeftFillRight)

StartButton with Sliders:
If you're one of the few that like the startbutton with sliders.
Extract "Sliders.zip"

Store Window:
Resolved sales log scroll bar resize issue.

Recipe Filter:
More of an addon than a hotfix but none the less. (This will create a sorted drop down by tradeskill type.)
Backup your copy...
Unzip..
Place in your Ever Quest II directory...

Exclamation crashing on character entree to world

Hi again,

well my wifes second machine is having abit of a problem after updating to the new ThorUI. Everytime she loads the game on entree into the world, the exact moment when it says adding character to world the game crashes. I have tested this this time by uninstalling the ThorUI and the game loads normally without crash. She really loves your UI and would Like it to work on both of her machine. Please advise on if I need to delete a old file. I did exactly as you instructed me for my machine and it still has problem. Thanks and grats on getting excepted to the beta.

Eek sorry to hear that.
It sounds like an issue that would be from using a pre Live Update 12 version of the ThorUI (pre 4.0) so I have to ask; have you tried uninstalling then deleting the ThorUI folder, then reinstalling with version 4.6?

If you're still having trouble after that, i would browse to the EverQuest II directory and look at UI.log
It shows a log of some UI issues that we could use to track this down.

I'm usually on Messenger and can get on Yahoo.
