Sorry, I was gone for a while this evening. Eloa, if you hadn't solved it yet, in your EM_eq2ui_mainhud_map_quests.xml file, you can simply add a page layer around your current top level page object that reaches out over the map. As long as it has AbsorbsInput="false" as a property, it shouldn't interfere with any other parts of the map. I'll do a test, make sure this is true and get you some sample code by tomorrow afternoon (this would basically give you the ability to place stuff anywhere in the map window without interfering with the map).
Also, enough of you dislike the "anti-fog" so I'll scrap that project. I may still do up a side map xml that doesn't show fog, icons or the loc arrow so we can get screenshots of the encrypted maps (antonica, commonlands, nektulos, etc.).

Need some basic bug checking done on this (like does it load?). Can't get in the game for a bit because my server is one of the one's that's down due to server transfers. Select Map still has some issues if you click World/City/Current while in the Select Map menu. I have a fix for this, but it's not included in the xml in the zip.
Added Tony's TS icons, Zonx's fine-tuned Freeport icons and hoefully fixed layering issues when using Select Map in town.

I noticed in commons and antonica the overlay icons could use some work. Lots of the zone lines are duplicated... etc. ..

I'll search for that chunk of code, but I'm probably going to zap a lot of the icons on there...

How come I can only select a few maps and not all of them from the select map tab?

It's way easier to make the multifloor maps show than standard maps. Have to manipulate the ZoneMap object if I want other maps to show. I'll get around to them eventually; just need Select Map working flawlessly first.
Is the addition you listed two posts up for east antonica?

Quib, do you have one of those xml comparing programs? I'm making a few changes to the EM_Quests that is actually referred to in mainhud_map, Am I gonna need to document EVERYTHING I change for ya?

I don't, but if you post a changed mainhud_map.xml I will find the differences. What needed to be changed if I might ask? I had figured it was all gonna be easily contained within the quests xml file.

yea i think we should leave the map window itself alone as much as possible so it is easy to offer with/without the quest stuff.
