It's the area I use to make the lower 1/5 of the screen dark, you may have to try clicking right on the edge as other windows will be getting in the way.

Also please ensure you have letterbox switched off in the settings.

not sure if it's moved and I missed the notice or it's something I've done/not done

... but I don't see the guild level below my adventure and tradeskill levels where it used to be.

can't see any other problems with 1.6 so far

I removed it, it's probably one of the most static pieces of text so no real need for it.

My original plan was clean and clutter free - all I seem to ended up with is windows with lots of text!

lol ummm.... maybe? hehe i dun really care hehe i just knowticed something looked a little dif wif that window... you could always make the text toggleable for it i know i did like the guild lvl on the exp bar but i can live wif out it :c)

Profit if you notice in the screen shot the % symbols on the top Status bar (Was on the bottom I moved it to the top) are below the numbers. anyway to fix this. Yes please bring back the names on the effects window. Awesome UI Profit

mael turn off smooth fonts! thats whats making the %'s wrap to another line

Should be fixed for font smoothing - you are running 1.5e not 1.6

I really appreciate the accomodating of smooth fonts, thanks for that

.

One issue though, it seems the background for the group and player window (effects icons) is disabled completely, is that intentional? I don't really see a reason to not allow the opacity sliders to darken the backgrounds of these windows to suit different tastes.

Something I noticed in 1.5 and 1.6 and this happens even if I completely wipe my UI and fresh-install and use your settings.ini file (1280x1024). The order of the hotbars are (top to bottom) 5, 2, 4, 3, 1 instead of 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Easy enough to fix, but I wasn't sure if it's saved in the .ini or if that's a Sony bug?

edit: Oh, and just noticed you switched to the OCD style Inventory. How in the world do you get it to remember the mode you prefer? I keep setting it to Paperdoll, but everytime I camp and come back, it's always back in Slimline

But at least the Drop to Inventory is fixed now.

Im trying to figure out a way to bring the bottom bar back .. somehow I lost it .. and want to know if there is a hotkey to bring it back ..

this is the bar with all the resist status .. as well as attack and defense ..

Maybe I will just reinstall it. I have the slider for letterbox all the way to the left and the box for gold borders unchecked. I also have moved the other windows out of the way and tried to click. I also moved the dark bottom window up so I could be sure I was clicking on it. I still did not have the option to have anything except "none" in the Frame and Title menubox.

Sorry to be so difficult, but I did not change any settings and I cannot get this to work. As far as I can tell, I have tried everything logical to get it to work, including every suggestion I have seen on this board.

Are you sure you are running 1.6 ?

Profit: thanks for the UI! Cant imagine how long it took but i guess it was a while - one more UI convert to you

I have 2 small issues (because I am stupid - everything that you have coded works marvelously)

1) How, in the name of all that is holy, do I get that bar with the rings, hex doll and horsey whistle to work. I have the bar up but can not assign items to the icons there. I have a imbued ring to buff int, a +int hex doll and horsey whistle that I would like to put on there. Any /poke in the right direction from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

2) How do I target myself? for power shards, wards and the like. On the old (ie crap) UI I could just click on my name but this doesnt seem to be the case here. I have to click on the pet window to target my pet, then again to target me. It may be that I have just been clicking on the wrong bit of the screen (see stupid comment above).

Anyways thanks again, its always nice to have a distraction from actually filling that tradeskill order - Tok

Ok,

In the main EQ2 folder there should be several txt files:

manastone.txt
horse.txt
ring1.txt
ring2.txt
unequip_horse.txt
weapon.txt

These point to different slots in your inventory - i.e:
ring.txt is: use_equipped_item 9
ring2.txt is: use_equipped_item 10

Just edit them to suit your needs.

To target yourself, either:

1) Press F1
2) Click on the Self Effects area (the 4 opaque effect icons)
3) Click your name in the group window (only when in a group!)
4) Click your toon in the main play screen - if this doesnt work it's because you never set "third person picking" in the options, but... SOE have disabled this for some odd reason. to renable it add this to the eq2_recent.ini file

r_allow_player_picking true

Cool cool - thanks for the /poke in the right direction, the trick with the horsey whistle et al is a stunning idea.

The UI just saves me so much space at 1280 x 1024! - I have more room on the hotbars for those emote macros that everyone loves (I hope).

Its nearly christmas.....
