Default File core_maps.xml - Selecting POI Classes

This is, basically, a request for a small feature enhancement.

I would like to be able to select which POIs are displayed on my map. I would like to do this once, and have it work for all maps and all characters, whenever I login.

Currently, the file "eq2map/core_maps.xml" contains the buttons which control which of the POI classes are displayed. These are checkbox-type buttons and (by default) all are set to 'true' (== 'selected').

I can manually edit this file, to set the buttons for the POI classes I do not want to see (by default) to 'false', but the EQMAP autoupdater automatically and unconditionally overwrites my updated core_maps.xml with the official version every time I start it.

I am asking for a way for the user to set the initial, default settings of these buttons - Perhaps an <include> file which core_maps.xml could use to get them and which would not be overwritten by the autoupdater?

Default

I have all POIs off by default. If I want to see any of them I just quickly switch to the World tab and back.

Here's the thread that describes how to show or hide any of the POI groups by default:

Thanks, Othesus: That was exactly what I was looking for.

And it works great!
