I installed your ui today and it seems to be great,but i have one problem.My buff bar appears in the middel of my character screeen and i cant move it.Ihave unlocked it and it still wont move any help would be greatley appreciated

Make sure frames and title bar is turned on. Then you should be able to mouse of parts of it and you will get the 4 arrow courser that will allow you to move it. If after doing that and it is still a pain to move, let me know and I'll add and grab handle to it.

Even though the Infocenter is not functioning correctly, would there be a way to add a function to add an entire directory to the Excluded Files or make it so the auto updater dose not affect that directory.

No not currently. I am again working on something new that will replace the AUCP that will have more power over the UI and be way more customizable.

idk maybe its just the way i have it installed or something but so far since the new expansion, no offence hopefully given bc the expansion is relatively new, but your ui is the worst ive tried out so far. i installed it and updated the files, logged into the game, and the ui windows set on 1152x864 took up the WHOLE screen. i got rid of some of them just to see what it looked like underneath and i couldnt even find the start button or any command with a / in it that would bring up the start menu......think ill keep looking at other ui's instead

since you updated on 11-24, I am getting the message of 166 foreign files, yet when I click on the bar to see the list, I get a message 'Cannot open file C:\Program Files\Sony|Everquest II\UI\extremeAUCP\aucp.ico.' I have no idea wht it means, and as far as I can tell, hasn't interfered with the game, so just curious is all, and passing it on.

One question, is there anyway to make the font larger in a scout's tracking window? choice not available in window settings for that one, and no clue where to look in the programming lines at all.
Other than that, everything is looking pretty smooth. Still wondering about the Quick char switch too!

You registered just to say that, "its the worst"? By your info you didn't even set the UI to the resolution you were going to be playing at in the AUCP like clearly instructed to do! Your complaint about the UI wasnt even the devs fault, it was your own. I respect everyones opinions even if I dont agree with them, including yours but it would be taken more seriously if it was constructive. As a web designer/computer tech, the worst type of feedback I can receive is the kind thats not constructive because it doesnt help any.

For instance...what didn't you like? What DID you like, if anything? What do you think could make it better? Was the only reason you think "its the worst" because it filled up the whole screen (because of your error)? And so on and so forth. That kind of info can be priceless to a dev, and can give the developer valuable insight which only helps things turn out better in the future and who doesnt want that? There are people that put alot of time into things like this and in this case, for FREE so at least reward them by giving constructive criticism.

I have windows everywhere and hotbuttons piled on top of each other and maintained spells in multiple places. It looks nothing like the screen shots and I don't even know how to make it look like the screen shots. Currently this is not usable by me. Maybe I am missing something but I can't find a clear concise place on how to set this up to work for me.

Oh and it seems to have deleted all my EQ2MAP files.

Did you select a UI resolution to have it setup?

If you go into the AUCP, press the AUCP menu button and go to settings.

Then select the UI selection on the tree on the left, then select the User UI file that you want to modify, then select the resolution you run at in the window under that. Then click save.

If you resolution is not one in the list, find one that is close and then you will have to modify it a bit.

I didn't ignore your response. Thank you for it. Ok I have tried again.

It does work much better but I have five chat windows and can't close them. Newb to UIs but not forums - I searched. I have title bars and most of the extra windows have the close button (1 doesn't still). The buttons click and make noise but the chat windows won't go away.

For when I figure out how to resolve that problem - How do I get the hot buttons in the lower right of the UI the way it is in the screen shots?

Well frack! LU30 goes live and the only URL I can access from home is my ISP's lol. I have the updates just can't update them. I'll zip them up tonight and get em to Pilot to put on the updater server.

I think all that needs to be done is just add <include>eq2ui_mainhud_contest.xml</include> to the eq2ui_mainhud.xml file and <include>eq2ui_popup_hotkeyoptions.xml</include> to the eq2ui_popup.xml file.

Rangerquest, did you follow the direction sammeria gave you? the ones you quoted? If you don't use one of the premade uisettings.ini file then it is best you start out with a blank one or you very well may have weired things happing in the UI from things lingering over from other UI's.

I am shure this question has been asked about 100 times already, but I cant seem to find it...

I downloaded this ui yesterday (awsome ui btw) and I am using 1280 x 1024 settings, but I cant seem to get the pet window to show up when I summon a pet... is there any way around this?

I think this is because Ladiin doesn't have a pet class character, but all you need to do to bring up / turn on the window is Alt+P (or maybe its Ctrl+P, one or the other will work)

Hi Landiin,

I've been trying to get updates since the last update (Nov 25) and nothing is happening. The AUCP keeps saying 80 scanned and 77 current with 309 foreign files (which is the InfoCenter that I downloaded and installed).

Has there been any updates or is my AUCP broken somehow??

Ummmmm scroll back through a few posts, Laddiin is currently in the process of moving and he hasn't gotten his home internet connection installed yet......cross your fingers for some time this week.

Maybe this has been asked before but: is there a way to make the grey (metallic) parts of the UI smaller?, so i can fit in hotbars etc, I dont know why they are taking so much space

and I did all that select character and resolution stuff, i currently have it at 1024x768 (same as game)
But I was forced to move stuff around couse of the UI being all over the place.

Besides that awesome UI, great work

Hi there, I love this market window but it is still overlapping for me.
I have downloaded it again since you said it was fixed but it is still doing the same thing. Maybe you forgot to upload it to this page.

Yes I think it has got reverted back to the old one some how. Once I get my connection on at my house I'll get it fixed up.

Using xp 64 english version

when i run extreme ui, it gets to the splash screen and displays "Updating aucp filelist.xml" and sits there forever doing nothing.

let me know ifyou need more info, will get you what I can.

Is this in the install process( first time you have installed eXtreme or reinstalling it) or is it from clicking on the desktop/program files icon?

Landiin, the install package runs just fine (fresh install, reinstall over the first try, and a complete reinstall after uninstalling and making sure all directories I could find were deleted.), never had extreme installed before), goes all the way through to where it says extreme has been installed on my computer and i click finish.

as soon as i click finish, it pops up the extreme ui splash screen and at the bottom, it says "Updating aucp filelist.xml" and just sits at that point, I can let it run all night it don't matter. I can right click on the taskbar icon and select close and it will close just fine (not end task) and task manager doesn't show it as not responding.

Check your firewall and make sure the .exe files in your /eXtreme/AUCP directory can access the internet. At this point in the install there probably is only one. There should only be 2 .exe files in there.

Windows firewall is disabled, and my when you start aucp, you can see where it say connecting to "ip", then connected, then just sits at "Updating aucp filelist.sml". as for the directory, there are 2 exe files, loader.exe, and AUCP_Uninstall.exe. The other files include aucp.ico, aucp_filelist.xml, shorcut to eXtreme webpage, adn ui.bmp.
