If it seems to timeout just close out of the AUCP and Restart it. In the next update I added code to try a second time if it times out and if it fails on the 2nd attempt it'll tell you and let you use the main menu item to start the update again.

I am having some problems here. When the UI was updating it stopped at 43% with disconnected showing on status. I opened it up again to update and it updated the rest of the files I needed. So I log onto eq2 and this is what the UI looks like. Any ideas to how I can fix this? (text box is not actually blurred in ui)

You may want to go into settings and pick a uisettings files.

this my first UI for EQ2 and for some reason, on 2 different computers, I'm not getting ANYTHING that looks like the screeen shot...maybe I'm missing someting ..please help attached is a screen shot..please let me know if you need something else to fix me up.

I figured it out....after it updates and the updater ask if you want to set eXtreme to the default UI, not only do you need to select the screen size, and the char, but you also need to save it both under dafault 1 and another selecton on the same screen....after I figured this out...it worked like a charm....this UI gets the bana split award....

i've got it set at 1280x1024 and it doesn't look like the picture, hotkey are not right and have no idea where my target window is.

if you don't have cl_letter_box_amount set to 0.135000 the UI settings will not match the pic. You can add that command by going to client config in the AUCP settings or edit eq2.ini directory. If you don't have any personel settings in your eq2.ini then on the client config page you can click the default button and it will use the eq2.ini made for extreme.

I just installed this UI and I'm having a problem... it looks nothing like what it should. Windows are out of place and some look too big, some too small.. I'm not sure what's wrong. I tried putting windows in default location and it's just a jumbled mess! Please help, this UI mod looks great but I'm far from having it work right for me. Thanks in advance,

By the looks you did not set eq2.ini to eXtremes default eq2.ini. ( AUCP->Settings->UI->Client COnfig ) press the default button then save. Then go to uisettings and pick a character and ui res and save that.

I tried doing what you suggested and it helped some, but I'm still not where I should be. Here's a screenshot of the best I've been able to get so far, please help

I downloaded the autoupdater and installer. I love the interface but I have no window displaying my current buffs, the ones I have on me. I have a windo showing the ones I cast myself but nothing showing me what else I have on me. There was a big grey box that does nothing and has nothing in it and Im assuming that perhaps this was meant to be the effects window with current buffs in it. Why doesnt this window work? Every other piece of the UI seems to be working correctly.

The other problem I have is Id like to see my unbuffed stat base, and have no way to do it with this UI, normaly you could just right click on your name/healthbar box and chose inspect and look at the base stats by hovering the mouse over the stats. This method doesnt since that box no longer exsist. Is there some other way to see base unbuffed unaltered stats? THis is important in figuring out your current cap.

Some help with these 2 problems would be greatly appriciated.

actually now that I look at the screenshots I appear to be missing the buff window altogether, I see that it should be near the top in a long horizontal bar. That bar isnt there for me =( everything else is there.

I did finally find the effects bar it was behind a bunch of other stuff. Now if I could figure out how to see my base stats Id be a happy camper.

Hello again Landin,

I have another request I hope you will consider in an upcoming update that I have not seen posted in this thread. Is there any chance you may consider adding the Enter/Cancel idea to the crafting window? There is one out there, the "Nyarlathotep's Tradeskill Window with Just Press Enter for 'Begin' & 'Repeat' and Esc. for 'Cancel' while crafting" psoted in the add on sectoin on 2/25, but this one aparently is only designed to work with Nyarlathotep's UI (I have tried it and it does no work with yours for some reason, it crshes the client as soon as you click on anything in the window). I used this one, or one similar with Fetish (is that a bad word in that forum?) and it worked fine in there, but, I prefer your UI to that one so if possible, I'd like to have my cake and eat it too while crafting, and drop the mousie on the floor as I space out at the TV and grind my crafts. I have also tried the "Just Press Enter LU22+" posted on 4/15/06 in the add on sectoin, but this one does not appear to contain a crafting window with that option (not sure if the othes work, I did not actually try them when I noticed it did not effect the crafting window, that is really my target for the day, but it did not crash the client when I opened a window at least)

I can undrstand making it a mod/add-on perhaps, sicne many may prefer not to have the repeat set as their enter key and cancel set as escape, but it sure would be super if we had that as an optionional add on.

Nope Fetish isn't a bad word Zonx makes a good UI and I have learned loads from him.

As for the crafting window I use to mod it, but so many people have their own style it was a pita to please all. So I changed the way eXtreme skinned windows so one could drop in any mod from the pieces download and that window would automatically been skinned for eXtreme ( if they didn't use their own graphics that is ). Doing it this way people could find a mod they like, add that file to the exclude list and they are content. I'll check into the mod you said was crashing the game and see whats up. It may use its own graphics and require addiction includes to the exclude list in the updater.

Unfortunantly your persona screen only shows buffed and equiped stats, the same stats I already have in the upper left hand coner of my screen. There should be a way to see unbuffed/unequiped stats, ie your base stats, for the purpose of finding your stat caps, so your not buying equipment that has stats for an item you already have maxed.

hey all i play eq2 there is a message that pops up with the new lu in eq2, the message calimes that the ui is not compatible with this, it only happens when i try to go to a vendor to browse the markets

FYI on broker merchant window. You can go into the EQ default file and copy the xml document eq2ui inventory market file (modified 6/14/06) and replace the one in your extreme file. This fixes the merchant window!

Or you just delete the one in your ExtremeUI folder and it uses the default by default. (Like Landiin already stated) Then you wont get another foreign file error.

hi ive installed the latest version of your UI, im having a bit of a problem in the first update, first off it disconects about half way through i close it down restart it it continues updating. it then gets to the eq2ui_inventory_market.xml file and freezes i have not been able to do anything to get it past this point any help or info would be greatful i have tried restarting it, let it sit on it for 30 minutes, rebooted "cold boot" computer, uninstalled deleted extreemdir and reinstalled, nothing fixes plse help

Yeah, I am having the same issue as Aequitas. When I patch with AUCP, it halts when trying to download eq2ui_inventory_market.xml. I should say the downloader stops. It creates a 0-byte file on the HDD and "idles". The program itself is ok though as you can navigate through the tabs etc...It looks like the server side file doesnt exist or something along those lines. If this is a known issue with a fix I apologize. I didn't see anything else posted on this in this thread.
