What I did is wrote a MS Access runtime that allows me to switch between to styles of Layouts. This also allows me to choose if I want two different sets of UI's that may use different sets of pieces.
The methods I used is a bit complicated to set up. And I KNOW is not the easiest or the best, but I do not have access to VB or any other language atm, so I just used, MS Access 2003, Batch files and a lot of my time.
ANYWHO... it works for me.
My Access file allows the choice, the batch files copy which INIs need to be in place for EQ2 to run the appropiate mod directory.
Here is a pic of my Access runtime:
You click on the mini pic to load whichever UI Layout/Mod Directory you want for that session. After, EQ2Map Update runs and then from there you can enter EQ2 with the choice of layout and mods you wanted.
Looking at the screenshot, notice Left minipic has the layout DIFFERENT than the Right PIC. Again, the two different UI seeting can also be TWO different SETS of interface pieces.
I really want to convert this to a VB file, but I need to get myself a copy of the VB program. I think I have one laying around, just do not know where I put the CDs. I have somne REAL good ideas and plans for this program I want to write as well. THe Access part is just a temp fix till I do find my CDs or go buy VB again.
