Bottom TyeJae Steel mod - Perdition (1280*1024) and (1600*1200)

So where is the V5 or even the V4 mod to download? Not showing up =(... Also when you make an .INI file could you just make a very basic one with just the layout and no chat setting (I dunno if this is how the last .ini you just posted was setup or not since I cant find the new latest download to try it with) Or if you could make an English version where Guilde = Guild and Groupe=Group (Thats really my only annoyance with how it is atm hehe, dunno why its not modifying it when we make the corrections ourself)

Few things that I have added to make my life better are:

full-size bag (inset grab handle, close button; no frame, titlebar, backdrop, dead space)

i was just wandering is there any way to make better looking heroic to match this i'm using earlier ver. then last because could'nt read numbers on new one.
But ui is best i'v ever used in 2.5 years of eq1 and eq2.

I like the stone skin very much, but i notice that in my main chat when I type a line it is sometimes hard to see what I have typed. The white marbleing of the BG sometimes mixes with the letters and makes it somewhat difficult to see. Not impossible and certainly not a deal breaker for using it. Just wondering if it was something with my setup...

When I try to remove letterbox, I uncheck the trim button just fine, but when i tried to slide the letterbox itself down to minimum, it drags my 2 top hotbars down messing up their position, any ideas how to prevent this?

perdi you da shiz, and after reading every post here and in the comments section of downloads, I can help but notice and comment on how patient a person you must be for putting up with all our crap... kudo's to you...

The hotbar position is linked to the letterbox size (SOE)

There is two possibility to fix it:

First you can move the hotbar manually after resizing the letter box

1) right click on it
2) selcet windows settings
3) uncheck the lock button
4) move the hotbar
5) check the lock button
6) apply

or if you don't want to bother with that and do not have make too much ui configuration after putting it in place (not to do it again):

1) Log in and resize your letterbox.
2) log off
3) replace the server_character_eq2.ini file by the one I provided.
4) log in

Possibly now that you have requested it. However not many people have widescreen capability, so it would be hard to emulate this.

Well the bad news is, Its hard enough for me to try and make it work in 1600x1200 , 1280x1024 is what I am comfortable with, My monitor can do 1440x900 yes but my eye's not very keen on the idea of either lol, That rez just seem's to mess everything right up lol...

i dont know if the bug is with SOE or your UI but everytime i log to the char select screen and come back in my target window shows every things name in red no matter what color con i have targeted. the persentages next to the name also go red too.

I have the same problem but its green with me lol... It dont happen very often and a camp to desktop and back in fixes it... I have checked the target window loads of times and can find nothing wrong with it, Also its so random when it happens its not as if I could load up the default one and see if it does it at the same time... My friend I play with also uses the same UI and it dont happen with her at the same time as me even though we both been fighting the same mobs etc..... So in short I put it down to a ingame bug, somthing to do with the tier indicator as its that thing that sets the con color.

Was this ever released in 1440x900 resolution? I use the UI on my desktop just fine in 1280x1024, but I recently purchased a new laptop that has 1440x900 resolution and I can't seem to find one that will work in that rez. If no one has requested it, I'm humbly requesting it now

I love the UI perdi however when i downloaded V8 into PERDV8 file i can get the UI up correctly but all frame backgrounds are white

You are missing the "Images" folder within the PERDV8 folder...

Delete BottomV8 folder
May as well Delete PerdV8 also

Go back to the zip file you downloaded..... Unzip it again.... Now place the eq2.ini ... Into C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II and PERDV8 folder into C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI

And all should be fine...


(there is a quicker way to do this yes... but this way ensures it should work as expected)

not sure if i stilldoing something wrong have extracted zip into my eq2 directory (d:\everquest 2\ui\PERDV8) and add eq2.ini to (d:\everquest 2) but still no frames

Directions Tell you to Delete that eq2ui_journals_active.xml

In any case i replaced the eq2ui_journals_active provided in your zip and Bingo that was it who knows maybe i deleted it two times rofl

I have just downloaded both of them from the DL's section and they are all intact with the "images" folders..

Only thing I can think of is you say you extracted them into d:\everquest etc etc..... Extract to a different location and then move the files that are needed into the proper directorys from there...

And have a look through your eq dir to make sure there is no extra folders/ files in there that shouldnt be.

Hi there!

First of all, I simply *love* this interface - it rocks, and thanks for putting in the time and effort it took to get this to where it is now. really great!

Now, just downloaded the latest version, and it fixed some issues etc - but I do have a new problem - everytime i start EQ2, my hotkey bars are messed up. The keys would all maintain their button assignment, but I would end up with 2 primary and secondary/tertiary hotbars. So, my top bar would be primary, but so would be my bottom bar. The bottom bar would then have "focus" as primary bar. Image me trying to cast invisibility on A Firerock Scout. and the ensuing frenzy as you try to figure out how to kill the damn thing

If I remove the bottom two bars, and open new hotkey bars, they pop into life "unassigned" ie with no keys assigned to them. Is there a way I can fix this?

Easiest way is to just avoid the firerock scouts and find some nice beetles to play with insted

Had this problem before some guy (sorry I dont recall exactly who) found that it was to do with the char settings file I set up .... Personaly I never had this problem with any of my toons new or old...

Back up then delete "eq2ui_mainhud_hotkeysav.xml" and see if that fixes the problem...

hey there.

Followed you suggestions. The beetles did not take kindly to my efforts to provide them with an Aquaous Stone. Something about them being land-based animals, and the salt water wreaking havoc with the chitin in their shells. More frenzy ensued, and after some righteous slaughtering of beetles, the difference of opinion is now resolved, and there is a family of baby-beetles that are now orphaned. My heart cries for them....

Anyway, also changed about the xml files, but alas - still no joy - I will try to remove them all and place them by hand afresh. I will keep you informed.
