what purpose do the numbers next to the icons serve? I would think that unless they served some real purpose, they would just be taking up space needlessly, but that's just me.
Is that an EQ1 interface??
Anyway the numbers would hafta be static. You couldn't really link them to any specific spell icon because ... well not sure how to explain. Basically the numbers would always be there.
Bah. I know what I mean I just can't say it. Hmph.
One thing about eq1 UIs is I run both games at the same size and rez but there is always room for loads of chat windows and info on a eq1 UI and still loads of viewable play area left... but with eq2 UIs unless you run at a very high size even a few windows seem to take up a lot of room.... EG: in eq1 I have 5 chat windows.. eq2 I have 2 with 3 tabs..... There gotta be some logic in there but me missed it lol
Anyways the point is to me having all the effects in a numbered list would take up way too much space.. But dont let that put you off Findarato it would be interesting to see how this turns out if you stick with it

Oh man does that screen shot make me miss Vert....
Please for the love of all that is good in this world will somebody convert Vert to EQ2. I know Kudane had started it a long time ago but the project seems to have fallen off the radar. I wish I didn't suck with graphics as I'd give it a whirl myself.
Only issue is that sure I can hardcode the graphics in but when you scroll the maintained box the numbers done change :P
The only way I could link them so they would change when you scrolled the box woudl be to tie them directly into the image.
I really miss vert as well, hell I even converted it to horizons when I used to play that game. If I can figure out how to convert the buff window to the maintained window I might consider moving forward with more peices of Vert.
You might be able to make the numbers a seperate frame next to the frame that holds all the icons..
Not sure what you mean about scrolling the spell icons, but if you tie the two frames together somehow (maybe both inside another frame?) then they might scroll together.....
I have tried to tie them together but it dosent seem to work with the scroll. Its perfectly fine if you only want to see as many icons on screen as you can display and not "flip the page", or "scroll the icons".
I am looking for any type of help people can muster
true I could create a background image for all 30 slots, but the down side is unless your Display is big enough to display all 30 at once its not gunna work.
Next time you get in game change the size of your maintained spell window cast enough buffs on your self or whoever so that they go beyond what you can see, then put mouse over window and use mouse wheel and see what I am talking about
