Bags with item description displayed by default?

I've been trying to figure out a way of showing a bag's contents with the item description instead of the icon. Or at least have the 'mouseover description' always displayed. This would help keep track of similar items that use the same icon. Especially useful for keeping track of crafting components.

So far, no luck. Any ideas?
