EQ2map trying to write to CD drive

My HDD died on me yesterday, and I had to reinstall the entire game. I downloaded my usual UI and went to run the map updater and am given the error message of that I have no disk in drive d: (my dvd drive). Clicking continue brings up another error stating that I can't write to the drive then 2 more error messages stating I need to create the EQ2maps folder myself. Anyone else have this issue?
