Target Ring - Any one able to mod?

Like the title says, is any one figured out how to mod the target ring? I have tried and I have custom target ring graphics in my ui image folder at all times just incase they ninja fix it.

Has any one figured out atleast where its getting the graphic from? its not from the 2 target ring dds files I know that much as I have edited the default ones, skipped the patcher and the default ones where still there. I would love to see this graphic modable as it was in everquest 1. But if any one has any new information please post it for the modding community to read.
