Sticky EQ Situations!

Yea I found myself in a rough spot. I was a level 8 mage, eager to be a sorcerer. Too eager I guess, the final exam consists of dueling with an actual sorcerer. If you beat him, you're in. So I walk in, extremely confident, and take this dude on. Next thing you know, he throws a ton of magical force at me and I die. Alright, so I work off the debt (couldnt get my spirit cos it was in the room with him) and I go at it again. This time, Im level 9 and ready to kick some sorcerer tail. This time I would get him right? Wrong. Died again. So thats 2 spirit shards down. I ran back into begger's court and bought a set of brand new armor. I had new spells, new armor and a new found confidence. Went back, went toe to toe.... DIED AGAIN! Yes, three times. I managed to kill him the third time but he summons 2 ratonga's that eventually beat me up before I could unleash a lightning spell. Yup, so 3 spirit shards in that room with him, a huge amount of debt to work off... i got a long night ahead of me!
